A roller coaster of emotions

I loved Lana from her mentions in the Up in the Air series. Such a great feel good story that takes you along the roller coaster with her as James’s briefly mentioned scheme unfolds. Loved it.

Good story, not great story teller.

It was a great way to hear the story of Lana after getting bits and I eves with the other series of James and Bianca and Tristen and Dannika. However, I preferred the narrate toe of the other two books much more. I could hear this one taking a breath after every few words and she came off way too cutesy for a tall, elegant blonde goddess. Particularly the sex scenes, they just sounded silly and rehearsed, hard to lose yourself in it.

It was...eh...

The writing itself is juvenile. The story line drags and some of the interactions between characters is pretty humdrum. I finished it because I have to but at no point did it pick up. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Really quick paced, but good

Wow, that was short and to the point. It was nice to see how Lana and Akira got together after hearing about her in the Up in the Air series.

Nice Novella

since I finished Danika and Tristen's story, I already knew how this would end. it was sweet, loveable and very predictable but gave some background in to Lana's story. I wish there was more detail about the crazy ex gf but oh well.

Beautiful story just a bit tooooo short

I love this book... I just wish there was more did they have babies? Did she leave the rock? Did they stay? Did the ex try anything after the fact? Just give me more or even a book 2

sweet and sexy as all hell!

R. K. Lilley is my new favorite author. It does not matter what book you read first, but I'd read Bianca and James story (up in air) soooo good...I read all 4 books ....then Lana....now im reading Tristan and danikas story ohhhh my word....its soooo damn good.... love Lilleys books!

Bad Narration

This narrator was awful. After listening to the rest of this wonderful series, I was very disappointed.

Short and sweet.

Lana is a friend of the hero and heroine from the UP IN THE AIR SERIES which I thoroughly enjoyed - 5 star books in my opinion. Now Lana returns to her home on The Hawaian Islands for a few days and there's an opportunity for a second chance romance.

There is a fair bit of action (including sexy action) - and wonderful humour from the hero’s mother.

While I enjoyed the UP IN THE AIR SERIES, this novella was not of the same calibre. That’s because Lana and hero Akira already know one another and their back-story is not revealed before their first sexy times (it's revealed later). So I had a hard time buying into their intimacy a) without all the build-up I seem to require before intimate scenes; and b) because of the unrealistic portrayal (to me) of the heroine's sexuality in light of her limited prior sexual experience.

The epilogue, however, was lovely (with the hero's mother stealing the show).

The narrator had a lovely voice, and a unique accent – perhaps Hawaian.
