Duncan James may be a well-respected attorney, but he's still a fraternity guy at heart. So when his buddies bet he can't give the local female speed demon a ticket, he adopts a cop's persona and goes in for the kill - only to find killer lips, a killer body, and a whole lot of killer sass challenging him at every turn.
Working the graveyard shift as a waitress, single mother Jessie Mann has no time to waste on a Texan with big dreams and a skinny wallet. And that’s just what she sees when Jack Morrison ambles into the diner where she works. After a childhood of financial instability, Jessie swore she’d do better by her son. But with Christmas just around the corner, saying no to Jack and his cowboy good looks is easier said than done.
When small-town Nebraska sheriff Hixon Drake meets Greta Dare, the connection couldn't be stronger, but the timing couldn't be worse. Dealing with the fallout of a divorce he never wanted and setting up a new home for his kids, Hix becomes that guy, that one he never wanted to be, and puts a stop to things before they can even start. Protecting his kids and himself is his only priority. Greta, on the other hand, has found the place for her and the brother she adores that's perfect for them - a sleepy little town in Nebraska.
Jake McKallister might have been a rock star, but he was no ordinary one. Surviving an unspeakable crime as a young teen had shaped him into a guarded workaholic, and he now lived his life trying to forget. If it hadn't been for music and the redemption he found through it, he might not have survived. Career success came easily for him. Personal connections did not.
Sexy. Intriguing. Easy. Eli Boudreaux's family has built ships and boats in Louisiana for generations. He comes from a hardworking, wealthy family, and his empire is growing by leaps and bounds. At 30 he is the youngest CEO ever to head Bayou Enterprises, cochairing with his eldest brother. His head for business and his no-nonsense work ethic are also quickly making him the best the company has seen in generations. His staff admires him, women adore him, and Eli's family is solid.
The first time I met Chase Parker, I didn't exactly make a good impression. I was hiding in the bathroom hallway of a restaurant, leaving a message for my best friend to save me from my awful date. He overheard and told me I was a bitch, then proceeded to offer me some dating advice. So I told him to mind his own damn business and went back to my miserable date. I couldn't help but sneak hidden glances at the condescending jerk on the other side of the room. Of course, he caught me on more than one occasion, and winked.

What made the experience of listening to Kissing Cooper the most enjoyable?
I love both the sweet small town southern charm and the endearingly engaging and highly amusing romantic relationships between the men and women of Henderson, North Carolina.
What other book might you compare Kissing Cooper to and why?
Kissing Cooper is exactly like the previous books in this series. They feature the delightful missteps on the rocky road to love between sexy southern men and feisty southern females they can't live without.
What about Charles Lawrence’s performance did you like?
I especially enjoy Charles Lawrence's tongue-in-cheek portrayal of the hilarious shenanigans of lifelong friends, and partners in crime, Brooks and Vance. Their bromance is phenomenally entertaining!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
My heart broke for Kristy Lynn when she had to tell Cooper the reason why she turned down his proposal many years ago. She was truly caught between a rock and a hard place and she really couldn't choose him no matter how much she loved him.
Any additional comments?
This series is beautifully written, hilariously amusing and the team of Kelly and Lawrence is complete perfection!

This is a great book; this is book 4.5 in the Heroes of Henderson series written by Liz Kelly and narrated by Charles Lawrence. Scorched by an old flame, Cooper Crenshaw, Henderson High's championship-winning baseball coach, has done everything in his power to avoid coming back to town. So running into Christy-Lynn Brilhart 10 minutes after his return is less like a Christmas miracle and more like Cooper's own personal nightmare before Christmas.

Realizing the town he still loves could use his major league help, Cooper figures it's time to tie up a few loose ends.
The narrator Charles Lawrence did a wonderful job, and was very easy to listen too. He did a great job with the different characters and their voices.
If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read/listen to this book. The story flowed really well. I can’t wait to read the next book by this author. Once I started listening to this book, I didn’t want to stop until the end. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.
I Love this series cannot wait to read the next one and hopefully they'll just eventually have an epilogue that ties them all together to let us know all of their forever happy endings
What did you love best about Kissing Cooper?
The humor! This author has written this series in a way that each story is fresh and new but the humor is the same in each book. I laugh out loud. When a book can make me laugh or cry or both I know it is a good book that I want to read more than once.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Kissing Cooper?
I loved when Cooper took Christy Lynn Christmas shopping. She hadn't had anything new in years and he made her feel like a princess but did it in such a sweet, heart melting way.
Have you listened to any of Charles Lawrence’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to Charles Lawrence only in this series but have been looking for other books he has narrated because he has done such a great job with these books. Thoroughly enjoy listening to him.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My heart broke as Christy Lynn tells Cooper why she said no to going with him 12 years earlier. The burden she had carried all those years was so sad. However, Cooper tries his best to make it up to her.

Cooper is my second favorite Hero of Henderson in this series! Loved this book!!!
If you could sum up Kissing Cooper in three words, what would they be?
Second chance romance.
What did you like best about this story?
Christy-Lynn has not had an easy life and spends the time not caring for the town, covering up her father's problems. I love when she finally opened up to Cooper.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I wished I could have listened at one sitting. A great story.
This was definitely my favorite story in the Heroes of Henderson Series. Cooper and Christy-Lynn’s story is emotional and heartwarming. I loved this couple and was glad that Cooper didn't give up on Christy-Lynn and that she finally trusted him with her secret. Of course some of the characters from previous books helped make the story funny and enjoyable. Charles Lawrence always adds to making the story come alive with his excellent narration.
