Publisher's summary

Since the moment of her defection from the PsyNet and into the SnowDancer wolf pack, Sienna Lauren has had one weakness: Hawke. Alpha and dangerous, he compels her to madness. Hawke is used to walking alone, having lost the woman who would've been his mate long ago. But Sienna fascinates the primal heart of him, even as he tells himself she is far too young to handle the wild fury of the wolf. Then Sienna changes the rules - and suddenly, there is no more distance, only the most intimate of battles between two people who were never meant to meet.

Yet as they strip away each other's secrets in a storm of raw emotion, they must also ready themselves for a far more vicious fight. A deadly enemy is out to destroy SnowDancer, striking at everything they hold dear, but it is Sienna's darkest secret that may yet savage the pack that is her home---and the alpha who is its heartbeat.

Mind over matter: listen to more in the Psy-Changeling series.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Loved it, loved it, loved it!

Would you consider the audio edition of Kiss of Snow to be better than the print version?

I didn't read the print version, so I have no way of knowing, but the narrator did her usual spectacular job. Each character had a distinct voice, and none were grating, whiny or overdone.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Kiss of Snow?

Oh geeze, I have to pick? There's no way. I loved the scene when Hawke and Sienna are playing in the woods...delightful! I also loved the scene between Hawke and Judd--the one with the letter opener. Nalini is a master of saying so much in so few words. Then there are all the scenes between Lara and Walker...there's just no way to pick only one! This whole book was wonderful from beginning to end. I've read it 3 times already,, and foresee reading it again and again.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I've been waiting for this book since reading book 3 of the series, and my reactions ran the emotional gammit. This one is raw and heartwarming, sad and joyful all at once.

REVIEW:
This book had me busting up laughing, crying, and screaming NOOOOOO, so many times I loved it!!! Will after my anxiety levels came down a few notches. I was so excited to finally get to this book. Have been waiting for Hawke’s book since the moment that we met him in Slave to Sensation. My only gripe about this book was that there was not more Hawke & Sienna. While I loved the parts of Walker and Lara I wanted more of Sienna challenging Hawke. But even with that I loved this book.

Hawke & Sienna are so perfect for each other that it really did make the painful wait till book 10 for their story. I really hope that we get to see more of Hawke & Sienna in future books and what lays ahead for them.

Again Angela does an amazing job of bringing Nalini’s characters to life. I am truly in awe of the voices that this girl can do! They are all very different and distinct. Until the next book ladies (which I am starting today)!!!!

If you have not read any of the Psy-Changeling books. I really think that you need to start from the beginning. So much happens over the years to the Packs, the Council, the world that if you just picked up book 10 you may not get the full impact of the story line. So go get yourself a copy of Slave to Sensation, or do what I did and get it on audio. :) But read this series!!!

Best one so far

I think this is my favorite of all the books in this series. Of course I haven't read the next one but I find it hard to believe it will out do this one. Hawk and Sienna are a wonderful couple as are Walker and Lauren. Everything came together in this book. Really good romance and a huge battle. Really great characters and well thought out plot. I can't wait to see where the next one goes.

2 for 1!

I’m so happy with the way this book went. The push and pull between Hawke and Sienna was realistic and just been building for soooo long that it was amazing when they finally came together! The complexity of Sienna’s power was just too beautiful to the addition of the pack. Also Walker’s side story was the most adorable thing! Loved it. On to the next!

Really good addition to the series. :D

4-4.5 stars

This was a really good story. I've been waiting for Hawke and Sienna's book for ages and I was so happy to finally get to see them get together. I also liked that there was a secondary romance between Walker (Sienna's Uncle) and Lara (the pack healer) that gave us a extra bit of sweet to experience.

Sienna is part of a small family of Psy that escaped from the Psy-net. They expected to die but found shelter with the Snow Dancer wolf pack. Sienna is an extremely strong X-Psy. This is a type of Psy that usually die before they reach their 20s and is considered extremely dangerous. Sienna was trained for most of her life by the Psy Council member, Ming, and learned much from him, including battle strategy and how to use her powers. He also told her just how deadly her powers are and she's terrified that eventually her powers will escape her and cause death and destruction to those she loves.

Hawke is the Alpha of the Snow Dancer wolf pack. He hates most Psy but does make exceptions for those that don't follow the Psy Council any more. Hawke had a number of tragedies in his youth and one of the losses was the girl that was supposed to have been his mate. She died when she was only 5 years old (Hawke was 10 years old) and since then Hawke has determined that he will live his life alone.

Sienna has been attracted to Hawke since her family first came to the Snow dancer's pack. She was only 16 then and Hawke didn't seem to like her so she tried to suppress it and go on with her life. Sienna grows up a bit more and gets trained as a Snow Dancer fighter, becoming a responsible member of the pack. Sienna tried to move on from her attraction to Hawke but hasn't found anyone that brings about the feelings that Hawke does. Hawke treats Sienna with a very brusque manner, treating her more like a child than anything else. This is Hawke's way of trying to push Sienna away and it works for a couple years but once she hits 18 he has a harder and harder time trying to fight his wolf to stay away from her. Now you may wonder why Hawke's wolf is so interested...me too. Hawke insists that he has no ability to take a mate because the girl that was supposed to be his mate died as a child. The thing is that they were never mated so Hawke could still mate but he's in major denial about this and refuses to accept it as a possibility even when it's brought up. It makes perfect sense but Hawke is living in the valley of denial and wont see reason. Because of this he spends the first part of the story pushing Sienna away (which I found highly annoying). He eventually decides he has to have Sienna but still insists that he can't mate and she'll just have to accept what he can give her. Sienna is unwilling to accept Hawke's half-lame offer at first but eventually realizes that some of Hawke is better than none of Hawke and accepts the start of something between them.

While Hawke and Sienna are starting their "dance", there's major happenings with some of the Psy Councilors that seem to have decided to take out the Leopard and Wolf packs in the area (as well as 2 Psy Councilors that have ties to the packs) in an all out attack. There are some initial, smaller attacks that take place first and the packs have to scramble to try to isolate where the attacks are coming from and how to protect themselves from future attacks. Through this all, Sienna and Hawke have their relationship issues to deal with but they also have the problem of Sienna's growing power. It's gotten to the point where she's building power so fast that she can't siphon it off fast enough to keep from overloading. The more time that goes by, the more Sienna's power build and the more likely it is that she'll blow (and if she does, the blast may take out a huge area..like most of the state...or more). There's much scrambling trying to find a solution for Sienna's power issues as well. There's actually a lot going on in the story but it all fits in together well. Hawke and Sienna do come together and in an unexpected way that ends up bypassing Hawke's "issues". Walker and Lara get together as a side romance. There's happy news for Sascha and Lucas. The attack comes and it's bad but the good guys do come out on top. There's lots of drama but all the storylines get tied up nicely and we get 2 HEAs at the end.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved seeing Hawke and Sienna (and Walker and Lara) get together and find happiness. This story was a great combination of romance and action as there's plenty of both to keep things interesting. I had issues putting the book down because there was always something happening that made me not want to stop reading. The series storyline progressed nicely in this book and I can't wait to see what happens next. I'd recommend this book. 2 thumbs up. :D

Beautiful! Loved everything in this book! It is a turning point, and so many things happen, that you can’t help but finish the book in one go. And at long last Hawke and Sienna get their love story told. ❤️

Kiss Of Snow was GRRReat!!!!

WOW!!! Hawke and Sienna's book was GRRRreat!!! That is one big,BAD,hunky wolf!!!(and a cute little Psy). I have always loved Nalini's books and just know a copy of one format or another, be it paperback, hardcover and now Audio, will automatically find it's way into my shopping cart somewhere on the World Wide Web! This Psy-Changeling series has had me enthralled since the first chapter of the first book. When I first read the back of Slave To Sensation,it reminded me (sort of) of the movie Equilibrium staring Christian Bale(one of my favorite movies), with the no emotion thing. I find the Psy world very interesting, but no touching?? PLEASE......I couldn't live like that, so can I live with either the SnowDancer or DarkRiver pack? I don't care which one, just give me those skin privileges!!! Anyway...I love that Hawke and Sienna finally get their book. Sienna sure did grow up on us, and in a good way.I can hardly wait to see where Nalini takes the series from here.

Since this is a review for the audio format...I think that Angela Dawe has settled into the books. By that I mean that in the first book she read of this series, she sounded a little stiff and read a bit too fast. Now she, in my opinion, seems to understand the characters more and, for me, the book flows better than the first 2. It is my understanding that books 3-9 will be coming out on audio in the very near future and also read by Angela Dawe. I hope she does as good of a job with those as she has with Kiss Of Snow.

Final thoughts: The Psy-Changeling series is a MUST for paranormal romance fans. However.....start with book 1 and read them in order (the ones in the anthologies don't effect the storyline in the full novels, so you can skip those, but who would want to?)

Wonderful job Nalini. I wish you could make it to South Florida sometime. I would live to meet you in person!!!
