Warm Feelings

Warren does a really good job with both of these stories in developing her characters. They meet in a very interesting and cute way and they take time to have feelings for each other and learn to trust one another. I like how she goes about the romance in a simple and slow way, rather than a crashing into sexual feelings! The characters have a good amount of backstory that is described here and it helps me connect to them. I like the descriptions of certain things and probably my favorite moment of the second book/first in the series would be the rain scene. It gave me a bunch of feels! I give Warren’s writing a 5/5 stars.

Teri does a good job with the narration. I could tell which characters were which and I liked her voices for each one. She has a good tone to her voice and is even paced. Studio quality wise I didn’t notice anything funky. I will say Teri could have a little more passion in her voice during those kissing in the rain moments! But overall she does a nice job and I enjoyed having her read to me. I give the audio a 4.5/5 stars.

I received these audiobooks as part of my participation in a blog tour with Audiobookworm Promotions. The tour is being sponsored by Nancy Warren. The gifting of these audiobooks did not affect my opinion of them.

A Sweet Romance about Finding Happiness

He's unsettled and unhappy so takes off on a quest to fulfill a bucket list written at the tender age of 12, she's settled and content after running away from a lifetime of unhappiness when they crash into each other and find that both needed a lesson in love and happiness. The lesson may come too late for them to make it through together, but both will need to grow quickly in order to weather the storm. A sweet romance story with a "moral to the story" undertone of finding your happiness where you are and in who you are rather than seeking it from external locations. The plot is very well done and will wrap it's way around your heart. Overall a quite enjoyable listen and I am looking forward to hearing more stories from this series!

Great narrator and fun love story

For my first audible book in many years, I really enjoyed this playful, whimsical love story. It was a great way to while away the miles as I drove to different places.
The narrator, Teri Schnaubelt, read the lines and plot very well. She made it fun and believable.
The flow of this love story by Nancy Warren was easy with just the right amount of romantic sexiness.

Beginning of Sweet Romantic Rather Innocent Series

Evan Chance is a highly successful lawyer with one of the biggest firms in the city. He thinks he is content until he opened up a birthday card from his parents. Included is a list on a piece of paper. It was a list he had written when he was 12 years old – a bucket list in today's terms. He laughed as he read over his aspirations as a 12-year-old. However, the list and the tasks on it, really needle at him. He decides to go for it, and takes a leave of absence from work.

One of the items on the list was to motorcycle across the country. So he puts on his leather chaps, takes his bike out of storage and sets out on his adventure.

A collision with a stray dog leaves him looking for a vet to get the dog checked out to make sure he is alright. The police officer in town happens to drive by and stops to check this situation out. It is a very tiny town, the police officer points him in the direction of the veterinarian. A house in the distance that he can easily walk to.

He knocks on the door and find the most beautiful woman he has ever seen. Caitlyn Sorenson, MD - looks the dog over, announces him healthy and without injury and the new journey begins.

Held up for a few days while waiting for a motorcycle part before he can continue his journey, Evan explores the small town with his stray dog and its sexy doctor!

I really enjoyed this book. There are no deep, dark areas. The main characters' only problem is that they are both workaholics. A nice, sweet romance with no huge highs or lows. It is a bit predictable, but I have reviewed a lot of books in this genre, so it may be that I know what to expect.

It's the first in a series and I have put the rest of them on my Wish List.

Teri Schnaubelt is a most excellent performer. If you read through my reviews, you know that she is one of my favorite narrators and she ALWAYS does an impeccable job. I have yet to find a performance from her that is not professional. She has the amazing talent of telling the story and expressing the characters in a way that you are part of the experience.

Note: This book is free of any sort of strong language and the few intimate scenes, tastefully written in a way that is not offensive to most.

This is the perfect book for a lazy afternoon or evening. You will want to listen to it in one or two sittings. *I received this book in exchange for my opinions, thoughts and this review.
