First I don't know if this bothers anyoneelse but HOW IN THE MUCK DO YOU CATCH A DUDE YOUR FALLING FOR GETTING A BJ AND THEN HAVE SEX WITH HIM 40 MIN LATER. I hate when women are written this stupid . It may seem silly that it pisses me off but I'm almost done with the book and this stupid shit happens. I was ready for King to say "Look baby Girl, You and this sweet NaNa is MINE BUT NOOOOOO a monkey tool chest had to be thrown into the story.I had to take a break but up until then I was loving this shit. Im sure by the end I will be back in love but damn make these women stronger with back bones.

Absolute Perfection! A MUST LISTEN!

There's nothing I don't love about this audiobook. It's raw, gritty, sweet, frightening and passionate. This audiobook is always in my top five of all time. King and Doe are a beautiful train wreck. Please listen to everyone and have Tyrant ready. T.M. Frazier's writing is unique and amazing. I'll buy anything she writes and the audiobooks are amazing.

Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro are fantastic. They're both new narrators to me and I'll seek them out because they're amazing, expressive, and perfect. A MUST LISTEN!

Where does King rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

King ranks among the top 10 out of probably hundreds of audio books I've listened to.

Who was your favorite character and why?

This is really a toss-up...I love King, but I also love Preppie. Preppie is an essential character, as his hilarious nature helps balance out an otherwise very dark and violent story line.

Have you listened to any of Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have not heard any of their other performances, but I look forward to listening to them again because they were both fantastic.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed out loud on many occasions, mainly at Preppie. I also felt sick and had trouble getting through some of the more graphic and violent scenes.

Excellent read, well worth your time and credit/money.

Pleasant surprise

Omg -I didn't want it to end! How could it just end like that? I need more, what happened? So many questions.

Exciting, hot, torturous

I’m just now learning about T.M. Frazier. I listened to Lawless and Soulless 1st and they were so gods but I didn’t want to jump into Preppy/‘s books until I listened to the 1st books in the series and I’m so glad I did. These guys are brothers in every way that counts except blood. The author doesn’t hold back in the good or the bad which was really refreshing. People do get tortured and raped every day but when it comes to fictional characters you don’t find many authors willing to put that kind of stuff into writing , but not this one. It makes the whole story so believable that you forget these are fictional characters. I’ve gotten so attached to this crew I’ll be sad when their series ends. King is a badass that has been in prison for 3 years and meets Doe at his welcome home party. Doe has amnesia and can’t even remember her own name. She’s starving and desperate when she meets king thinking she can use her body in exchange for 3 hots and a cot. Their story is not an easy one and ends on a cliffhanger but so worth the read. But if dark romances are not your thing then you should consider skipping this book because like I said before theirs author does not hold back!

GRITTY, RAW, UNEXPECTED LOVE STORY!

If you could sum up King in three words, what would they be?

This is an exceptional read from beginning to end. I couldn't put the book down (audiobook). I listened to it at work & on the drive home. The anticipation of what was going to happen next keep me intrigued and in love with the Anti-hero & heroin. I wasn't sure where this book was going but hey I stayed for the ride and it was a hell of a ride. Everything about the Hero was so bad, it made me question my morals how could I ever like him let alone fall in-love with such a Anti-hero, but I did. Not only did I absolutely love the hero I adored the heroin. There is a fine line when it comes to creating a heroin that is not to weak and not to strong. The author nailed it. I silently cheered booth of them on! This book has mystery, passion,& HOT SEX,. I could feel every emotion the characters were feeling. Every character was well developed that you understood their emotions and reasons for their behavior, that doesn't mean you agree with it but you got it nevertheless. The book is not riddle with inter-dialog it has interaction with all the characters making it a believable. You will fall for all the characters in this book and it is defiantly had not to like any of them. the book does have several violent scenes with very visual details but like I said it is gritty and unapologetic.

What did you like best about this story?

The entire story was great but I did like the relationship that develops between the Hero & Heroin.

What about Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro ’s performance did you like?

The narration was absolutely perfect. Rob Shapiro's narration had emotion and depth it I couldn't wait for his part. He would build-up a scene with such details and passion that you could feel every emotion the character was feeling. it brought the characters to life.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I laughed, cried, and gasped and several shocking scenes. King (hero) was a piece of work.... but you gotta love him!

I would recommend this read. The hero is not a billionaire, he's not a likeable character but you will love him nevertheless. The heroin is not your typical heroin she is all that you like in a heroin she does have convictions and morals but hey she knows when to put it aside for the better good and she is not a whiner. It has been a long time since I listened to a audiobook that kept me intrigued and anticipating the next book!

Excellent-has cliffhanger

The end of this novel had a drama filled soap opera-like cliffhanger. Disappointing-the novel itself was good, engrossing as some stories become.

Preppy

Preppy was everything! Everyone needs a Preppy in their lives... This was an emotional ride and well worth the credit.

Great read!

I was very surprised by this by the female character she was strong, determined did not give in to the drop dead gorgeous King twists and turns throughout cannot wait to read the second book!

Loved it

Such an amazing story it had everything and the cliffhanger had me automatically going for the next book Tyrant. they couldn't have chosen better narrator's for this book than Molly Glenmore and Rob Shapiro, they most definitely brought this book to life. I have found a new favorite voice in Shapiro that I would gladly listen to all day.😉
