Publisher's summary

Marketing exec Gabrielle Flannery isn't what you'd call the outdoorsy type. But after an embarrassing incident with a potted plant leaves Gabrielle revealing more leg than a Thanksgiving turkey, she decides it's time to reassert herself. Even if it means going head-to-head with marketing golden boy and the office Hottie McHot, Dell Kingston, over an outdoor gear account.

That is, until Gabrielle and Dell find themselves competing against each other for the account at a wilderness survival weekend. Since he's in touch with the great outdoors, Dell figures that naturally extends to Gabrielle and those sexy legs of hers. But Gabrielle has a few tricks up her sleeve.

And nothing stimulates a sexual appetite like a little fresh air, a tiny little tent, and a whole lot of libido!

Terrible nasal narrator

Her nasal voice made the male lead sound like a little boy with a cold. Gave all the charaters a nasal sounding voice. Loved the story.

just finished this uplifting and hot story!

Three simple words made me give it a shot, "I dare you!" What will you do?

The worst part of this book was the narrator

What made the experience of listening to Just Dare Me the most enjoyable?

I usually enjoy Harlequin stories, and the writing was decent.

Would you recommend Just Dare Me to your friends? Why or why not?

I would recommend the book, but would suggest they read it, rather than listening to it.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Her voice just isn't good for narration, in my opinion. She sounds too little girlish and read in this breathless voice that was obnoxious.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, no extreme reactions.

Nice dare...

This was a nice short listen. The story is quite funny, touching, steamy and entertaining. And I LOVED the ending! I would definitely look for more books by Stephanie Bond in the future.

Narration: Elena Stauffer is an ok narrator but many times she struggled with male voices. You could actually feel the strain in her voice.

Cute

This was a cute book. It is predictable, but worth the low cost. It was a good book overall.

Loved it!

I thought this book was very clever, and very sexy. The only thing distracting to me was the voice that was used for the lead male (kind of sounded like a teenaged boy going through puberty). But overall I enjoyed it enough that I listened to it twice.

Terrible narration!

I love Stephanie Bond books, and I was thrilled to have found one of her Blaze novels in audio form. The narrator sounds like a 15 year old girl narrating a Nickelodeon sit-com. It ruined the story so much I could hardly finish it. This book deserved better.

Pleasant

A servicable romance in most respects but it's a little skimpy on the passionate payoff at the end. But fun.

nice and easy going listening

Compares favorably to the majority of the genre in style and quality. A simple and inspiring work-relationship fairy tale story.

For a Cozy Catagory it's a 5

If you are looking for literature find it elsewhere, if you are looking for complicated plots, again go elsewhere. If you are looking for a cozy easy listen that at least has a fun yet plausible sweet plot this one has it; along with a great narrator. If you are an outdoors lover that is yet another plus. As a cozy a 5 star within that context alone.
