impressive

if I thought a previous Terra mates had almost a James Bond feel this one definitely has a female Indiana Jones feel. ancient ruins, obscure stories, danger, and romance weave together to make an excellent story. I was very impressed with the complexity of the story and characters. there is adult content and some violence. no cliff hanger.

Antics abound

It took me a little while to warm up to the lead characters but once I did I could not put the book down. I would have given it five stars except for the slow warm up. There was plenty of antics throughout this book to keep you entertained and wanting to know what will happen to the couple next. This is part of the Terramates universe but can be read as a standalone although I highly recommend reading the other titles in this series.

Wow!!! Another one you can't stop listening to till it's finished! Venn was retired from the military and getting bored after two years and starting on the third year. He inherited money from a deceased uncle and had to get married quickly once he found out he had to be married by 30 years old or his inheritance would revert to a charity. He ordered a mail order bride from Terra-Mates. No one least of all Venn could've known what was coming his way. Emmy was an archeologist and worked with her mentor, Morley. They were in a race to find a ladle that had healing powers. Abel wanted to keep the ladle for his own collection. He sent men after Emmy once Morley was gone to kidnap and use her to find the treasure. Emmy talked Venn's real bride to be into selling her a ticket to escape Abels men. As soon as Venn saw Emmy he knew his life would never be the same. This book is filled with excitement, adventure and romance. This is an honest review in exchange for an ARC. Can't wait for the next one from Lisa Lace, my favorite author!

history, intrigue and romance

What can I say Lisa Lace never lets down! in a fun, fast paced story we meet a heroine who is so obsessed with her mission to save history she gives herself away to a stranger. Our hero is sweet, rich and oblivious at times, what's not to love? Two people from different planets, with starkly different histories collide to create a sweet, dangerous and sometimes humorous tale. will read and performed this is a must have for your audio library!

Love alien books but this one needs help

Narration was great, the plot *idea* was interesting --- but I need more out of my alien romances. I like great stories, and this one was so one dimensional that it ended up being a DNF for me.
Lisa's style is very different and I see others loved this book. I'm glad. She has great ideas and her worldbuilding is fabulous. It's just the lack emotional depth & inability to bond/relate to characters and TSTL moments I had issues with.
Ruby Dixon, Penelope Fletcher, VC Lancaster PLEASE GO AUDIO!! I love Alien books because they *are* so different and I want to be as invested in them as I am the normal category romances, it's just really hard to find the great ones on audio

Okay!

This was an okay story to me though, I will admit, that I had trouble focusing on it. The characters and the idea of the story are very nice. I'm not sure why I had trouble focusing on it, but it just didn't hold my interest. I might try reading it again at some point, but for now I'm giving it 3.5 stars. Well done to the author and well done to the narrator.

an irresistible tale

it was pretty curious and interesting, I always wabted to be an archeologist myself, loved tge lots of misunderstandings at the beginning. the end was a happy one I like those. and damn ben was something else, emi was super cool and independent loved her.

Another hit out of the park by Lisa Lace

As usual, Lisa Lace does a wonderful job as an author. Her story telling is amazing. How can she come up with so many clever stories. Each one independent of the other. Nine TerraMates books already and none of the the same and none of them boring. They are full of excitement as well as steamy characters. The author and the narrator did an excellent job of this one. Again, Lisa did not disappoint. Love your work.
