Publisher's summary

Everyone loves Jack Holland, but Emmaline Neal needs him. Her ex-fiancé is getting married in Malibu and, obviously, she can't go to the wedding alone. In Manningsport, New York, tall, blond, and gorgeous Jack Holland is practically a cottage industry when it comes to rescuing desperate women. He knows the drill, Em figures, so he won't get the wrong idea.

What Jack needs is an excuse to leave town. Ever since rescuing four teenagers from a car wreck, he's been hailed as a hero and the attention is making him itchy, especially since his too-pretty ex-wife is back, angling for a reunion. He's always liked Emmaline. She needs a weekend date? No problem. So when they wind up in bed together, Em chalks it up to red wine and chocolate cake, just one impulsive night not to be repeated. But Jack's pushing for more, and if she lets down her guard, either she'll get her heart crushed again, or discover that Jack's worth more than just dreaming about.

Love And Humiliation

Would you listen to In Your Dreams again? Why?

I already have. It was a good book.

What other book might you compare In Your Dreams to and why?

Catch of The Day by Ms. Higgins also has several scenes in which the main character gets humiliated. Actually Ms. Higgins has cornered the market on humiliating her main characters......and of course you always root for the underdog.

Have you listened to any of Amy Rubinate’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

She has an unusual voice, and I like it. Once you get used to her speech pattern and inflection, you soon discover she is a very good narrator. She did a great job with this book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The rescue scene had me holding my breath. But the wedding speech moment was just so painful. I wish she hadn't included it.

LOVE this series....best one yet!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I love the Holland family, Blue Heron Winery and Manningsport....this particular book, although it includes some very sad scenes, in large part is laugh out loud funny. I'm hoping there will be another book or two or three.....Connor still needs someone, and so does Jessica.......just a thought.

What does Amy Rubinate bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Amy Rubinate is AMAZING as narrator of this series. Although the books are a wonderful read, she adds life to the character and gives each character a uniqueness that would be missed otherwise.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

For the love of Blue Heron.

The best Kristan Higgins yet!

I’ve listened to 13 KH books so far (all in the Romance Package), including her other series. 5 starts to all but one. This deserves 6 stars!! Definitely more compelling than the others! One more Blue Heron to go. I’ll miss these guys!! Then on to the rest of KH books. I wish they all were in the Romance Package!

Fun series

I am a big fan of the Holland family in this series. I love the interaction with the siblings. At times you feel like saying "Poor Jack" who has three sisters who share way too much information with him. After dealing with those sisters you would think that he would understand women better. It turns out that he doesn't. You love him, but some times he takes the hero complex a little too far. His crazy ex-wife is back in town and trying to win him back. He's not going to do it, but he still can't let her grow up and accept responsibility for her actions. He still feels the need to help her.

Emmaline needs a date to her ex-fiancé's wedding. It is amazing that she even feels the need to go. Of course, Jack, with his need to be the good guy and hero, goes with her. Emmaline is usually a strong, independent woman, but after the way her relationship ended with the ex-fiancé, you would need someone there for moral support.

It is a fun book and you get to catch up with the characters from the previous books. You don't need to read the series in order.
