Publisher's summary

Brit Robbins knows that dating in New York City is hard - she just hoped to have it mastered by age 30. But after yet another promising suitor says they have no sparks, Brit decides it's time to torch her dating game and try a new plan. And who better to coach Brit through the art of seduction than the guy who first gave her the "let's be friends" card?

Hunter Cross has always figured there's nothing his best friend Brit can do to surprise him. But Brit's request is a surprise he doesn't see coming - and one he's definitely not prepared for. Hunter and Brit have always been careful to keep things perfectly platonic, but the fake dates and faux flirting are starting to feel like the real deal. And soon, Hunter realizes he has taught Brit too well. Not only has she become an expert at seduction, the man becoming thoroughly seduced is him.

Contains mature themes.

Good series!!!

I like how the series ended and the other characters were bought back in. Was slow at times but each book had a decent story. I thought the narrator, Maxine Mitchell was spot on. I listened to the entire series. Nick and Taylor were my favorites.

Loved these books with Maxine Mitchell

Both books in this series including this one with Maxine Mitchell are soooo good! Maxine’s MH voice is perfection. She emotes such feeling throughout the book that Lauren’s words come alive. I had multiple love ache moments throughout! I couldn’t stop listening!

Great final book in series

Brit and Hunter have been best friends since they both started working at Oxford. He is her boss so of course they can't have a relationship. Brit can't find a man that wants to date her after the first date or so it's the "It's me not you". She asks Hunter to coach her in how to be sexy and get a man interested in her. Brit and Hunter start having more than friend feelings and eventually it leads to a wonderful night of sex. It complicates things that Hunter never has planned to stay in NYC but move back to Kansas City to help with the family business. Lauren Layne ties the story line wonderfully and brings us up to date with the rest of the Oxford/Stiletto couples. I'm going to miss this series but I can't wait for the next one. Maxine Mitchell narration brings the book to life for me.

Very sweet. Great book

Let me start by saying that people who don’t like Maxine Mitchell’s performance should really try to change the “speed “ of the book to 1.2-1.3. It was great for me this way.( I actually listen to every book on 1.3 and most of them are enjoyable ). The whole series with her performance, I personally enjoyed. I’m here for her raspy male voice, it works with the characters.
Both story and audio performance are sweet. Love Lauren L by now. Will probably check all of her work🥰

Story great, Maxine Mitchell is not.

Love this book but Maxine Mitchell is terrible. Her voice and affect are immature and grating.
