As advertised: a raunchy, kickass paranormal ride
Anyone paying attention to the publisher’s summary should understand what this is. When the first sentence announces that fighting demons is better than sex, and the next promises fireworks between vampire Guild warrior Colleen and “smoldering hot shadow demon” Seth, you know this is going to be a kickass, naughty good time. There’s snark, salty language, and two hawt, demonically explicit scenes narrated by the phenomenal Ms. Carmen Rose (who I love when she narrates for Tessa Dare’s regencies). As a novella, you know you’ll get right to business and not spend forever on angsty backstories or slow burn romances. But, even clocking in at under three hours, there’s a surprisingly cohesive story in between the kicking of ass and the grabbing of ass. This was a saucy, sexy listen.
