Down, Boy

Anna Moder has just witnessed a shooting, seen her car pulverized, and rescued a wounded stranger - only to discover he's really a werewolf. And by her recent standards, things are actually looking up. Lycanthropes don't faze Anna. Doctoring a wolf pack outside Grundy, Alaska, is the closest thing to home life she's known in years. But hitching a ride to Anchorage with long-absent pack member Caleb Graham - that's a risk. Part of her itches to whack his nose with a newspaper. The rest is trying unsuccessfully to keep her own paws off every delicious inch of him.

The problem is, Caleb employs his lupine tracking abilities as a not-quite-legal bounty hunter, and Anna is suspicious of both him and his profession. On the run from her past, with old problems closing in, she'd like to stay far, far away from anybody with connections to the law. Caleb, however, seems determined to keep her close. Are his intentions noble, or is he working a more predatory angle?

Anna's been dreaming of returning to a semi-normal life, but now she's experiencing a strange new urge...to join Caleb in running with the wolves.

Fanciful Lore

This is the third book in the series and it runs a little more on the serious side of a rom-com than the first two. It is still funny and cute and you can't help not rooting for the guy to get the girl. I wanted to start the New Year out on a lighter note and Merry Molly Harper delivered. Ronconi's narratives are always spot on and definitely add a little something extra to these tongue in cheek listens.

This is a departure for this series, but it works!

Ms Harper departs from her standard Kentucky background. You can't get too much different than the Alaskan frontier! She stretches her writing prowess in this book, and proves that she's a wonderful storyteller. I felt like I knew these characters well.. and my emotions kept going back and forth .. not knowing whether I approved.. or not.. or did.. or not... It was a great ride!

Yep, I laughed and giggled at Ms Harper's sense of humor.. I truly enjoy it. That didn't change in this book!

I always have enjoyed this narrator. She and Ms Harper are a dynamite duo!

Yes, I'd recommend this book highly. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Sleeping with the Enemy.

Another enjoyable listen. I'm glad to see that Molly Harper finally came out with another werewolf story. I like this series better than the Nice Girl series. As usually Molly Harper brings lots of humor to her stories. Being more of an Alpha female myself, I have a hard time understanding why women let this happen to them. I know if some man abused me like that, I would find a way to hide the body. I realize I'm not as sensitive to this subject matter as I should be, which could be why I tend to identify with with Maggie the most. Amanda Ronconi is an excellent narrator.

Fantastic ending!

This book fits in well with the series based in Grundy, Alaska. It gives very unexpected background about the Doc in Crescent Valley. Some of the lesser known characters are expanded nicely. Don't want to give away the ending, but it was very unexpected, surprising, and fantastic. Pulls in some unexpected characters. I highly recommend this book.

Not as good as the others

Would you listen to How to Run with a Naked Werewolf again? Why?

No, I found it a frustrating book to listen to. It was a hard topic to make funny to begin with and I found the characters' propensity to run at every turn to be irritating. Also, a bunch of emotions for someone who has been in a similar past relationship.. I came close to stopping listening many times.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Less silly afraid girl ready to bolt from safety.

Have you listened to any of Amanda Ronconi’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

the same, they need a real man to do the men's voice. These are macho wolf guys and the girly voice does not suit.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Supernatural Comedy at it's best

Molly Harper has given us a brilliantly written final installment of a laugh out loud series. So funny that you miss half the best jokes and have to go back to catch them all. She has real gift for making you read the next chapter because the subtitles for them drag you along. Seriously how can you stop listening or reading with subtitles like "I make use of stolen law enforcement equipment?" Harper has gift for humor that I envy and enjoy but don't let that fool you she tells sweet steamy love stories in the midst of the laughter.

Molly Harper & Amanda Ronconi nailed it again!

I absolutely love this author/narrator pair. I think that Amanda Ronconi just makes Molly Harper's books perfect. I love paranormal/werewolf romances and this was a nice read that I enjoyed. I would say maybe seductive not steamy. But still was great.
