Enjoyable!

What made the experience of listening to How to Marry a Duke the most enjoyable?

I enjoyed the narrators tone and voice. I have a hard time adjusting to just any voice so this is just my personal opinion. To be honest I have read this book and loved it so voice was my only issue to review. But if voice bothers you give her a go, for me she was great.

It's like Historical Bachelor

What did you love best about How to Marry a Duke?

It’s like a dating reality TV show! I liked that aspect immensely. I wish some of the dating schemes in the beginning were longer, but understand that going into detail on two dozen candidates would be too much.

What was one of the most memorable moments of How to Marry a Duke?

Loved the line - “I hope you will forgive me, but I cannot make an honest man out of you.”

What about Elizabeth Jasicki’s performance did you like?

Elizabeth Jasicki has a nice voice. She narrates convincingly for both sexes. I chose to listen to her at a slightly faster than normal rate of reading. Overall I would listen to her again. She did a good job!

I was very apprenhensive about listening to this book but ended absolutely loving it. Very nice storyline and ending. I have never heard of this author but she did a great job, the book was so captivating I couldn't stop listening. Looking forward to more from her. The narrator also did a good job with the narration and voices. Very, very pleased!

Entertaining and charming.

Any additional comments?

Well written for this genre. Interesting storyline with twists and turns to keep one wondering exactly how it will work out. Fun and spicy romance. Strong characters without being stereotypical. Good for car. Lots of fun and a whole lot better than many in this light romantic genre. Charming and had a bit of depth to it. Thoughtful plot with spots of fun. I liked it.

Cute and clever, fun for a romance novel

Didn't take long to figure out how this was going to end and the two main characters were fun and quite principled for all their folly. Good listening for a somewhat mindless novel.

loved it....

This is Book 1 in this series, Book 2 is " How to Seduce a Scoundrel".
It is no big deal to read them out of order. This was my 2nd book from the Author and have to say that I did enjoy both of Vickeys historical Romances. Elizabeth does a good job narrating.

Good but slow

The story it self is good but I feel like it was draw out over many chapters for no reason. I liked Tessa and I like how she handle most things. But I felt she could have been more up front with the duke (Tristen)
Good story just slow and drawn out

Liked it a lot!

Would you listen to How to Marry a Duke again? Why?

Yes! I plan to listen to it again some day. It's a fun, entertaining story that I found myself getting very addicted to. I love stories with standards so different than our own and witnessing how characters solve the problems society puts in front of them.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Dutchess was very entertaining and fun and I liked the Duke ( her son )
