Publisher's Summary

The NHL's biggest bad boy is about to fall for the virgin next door...

I am the world's biggest dating failure. We're talking my last date went home with our waitress kind of failure.

But I have an ace in the back pocket of my mom jeans - my sexy-as-sin best friend, NHL superstar forward, Justin Cruise.

Justin owes me favors dating back to seventh grade, long before he became a hotshot with a world famous...stick. So in return for my undying platonic loyalty, all I want is an easy-peasy crash course on how to be a sex goddess.

How hard can it be?

I have never been so hard in my life.

The things I want to do to my sweet, kindergarten-teaching, mitten-crocheting best friend Libby Collins are 10 different kinds of wrong. Maybe 20.

But I'm a firm believer in teaching by example, and by the end of our first lesson, we've graduated to a hands on approach to her sexual education: my hands all over her, her hands all over me, and her hot mouth melting beneath mine as I prove to her there isn't a damned thing wrong with the way she kisses.

Give me a month, and I'll transform Libby from wall flower to wall banger, and ensure she's confident enough to seduce any guy she wants.

Problem is...the only guy I want her seducing is me.

Hot as Puck is a sexy, flirty, friends-to-lovers standalone romantic comedy from USA Today Best-seller Lili Valente.

A Must Buy

Would you consider the audio edition of Hot as Puck to be better than the print version?

Not necessarily, I love both. But there's something really special about the way the narrators bring the characters to life.

What other book might you compare Hot as Puck to and why?

Magnificent Bastard and Spectacular Rascal have the same type of humor and romance.

What about Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts ’s performance did you like?

The narrators add so much humor and emotion to the characters, its a real pleasure to listen to them.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh yes! I wish I had the time to do that.

The Bad Motherpuckers Are Here!

Hot hockey players, you say? Yes, please, and thank you, Lili Valente, for this awesome new series about the Portland Badgers and the women that they love.

Justin Cruise, star forward for the Badgers, is more than just a pro on the ice. Sexy as all get-out, he's also literally the boy next door. So when Libby Collins finds herself in need of someone to teach her the finer arts of seduction, she can think of no one that she'd rather learn from than Justin.

Justin has always seen Libby as sort of a little sister, but she's blossomed into much more than that over the years. What starts out as a friend helping a friend is soon blazing hotter than either one expected, and neither Justin nor Libby are looking at each other the same way.

I love absolutely everything that Lili writes, so it comes as no surprise that this first book in the new series owned my heart I adore the relationship between Libby and Justin, and was rooting for this pairing from the very start. It is, by turn, sweet, sexy, and pretty danged scorching, and just what I've come to expect and love from Lili.

Tyler Donne and Summer Roberts do an excellent job of capturing the personalities of these characters, and made listening to HOT AS PUCK truly enjoyable. It's no surprise that this story is 5 stars all around, and that I can't wait to pop in my earbuds for the next installment.

Funny and sexy!

I really enjoyed this audiobook very much! There was a lot of humor and sweet sexy scenes in this story of a hockey player who falls in love with a kindergarten teacher while trying to help her feel less socially awkward. This is a perfect friends to lovers romance. The narration was quite well done and Tyler Donne's sardonic delivery style makes the book even better. It's only a sports romance on the periphery, just saying. Good listening for a Saturday!

Very cute- a breezy sweet romance

Looking forward to more in this series. This is not a deep serious book. It is slightly dirty and fun but with only a little angst. Just a very pleasant feel good story.

Friends into lovers

If you like a story of friends turning into lovers, you’ll probably enjoy this one. Not very much about hockey or it’s foul-mouthed, bad-assed players. Justin likes to crochet. I was ok with this as I like quirky characters. The author lost me finally when she completely and unequivocally dissed phil collins. Sorry, leap too far.
I like dual male/female narrators. Donne has a good voice, but will be much better when he has more experience with using it to express emotions.

Narrators in same chapter...

I loved it when occasionally the narrators spoke to each other as the characters in some of the the chapters. Granted, I would love it even more if the male could do all the male dialog and vice verse for the female role. But this was a treat as well. Thank you narrators. Excellent work. It was natural and fluid.

Laura is a c*nt

I get the protective sister bit but Laura was shady the entire book. Instead of being a grown up & discussing her hurt feelings she put her so called friend down every chance she got... that annoyed me!
Also Laura's high horse speech to Justin in text about how well she knows her sister was high handed & again I fail to see how someone who thinks so little of someone else can call that person their best friend. She clearly doesn't know her sister or Justin well. She better have an apology for him that's just as speechy

Friends with Benefits - Better than I Expected

Since I've joined the Romance Package, I've had the opportunity to select some books that I might not have taken a chance on. This was one. After reading the summery and listening to the narrators, I thought why not, I could always send back. The publisher summery states this is a story about a wallflower, virgin needing help from her long time professional hockey player friend, Justin. Even though, I do not listen to a whole lot of lost innocence stories, except when I craving historical romance novels, I absolutely love hockey romance novels. I started this book thinking it was going to be really cheesy, which it kind of was to some degree, but as I got more into the book, and it got very emotional fast. Lilly needs Justin's help to teach her how to date, flirt and have conversation with men. Initially, both do not think that they will become physically with each other, but things heat up and becoming more physical gets put on the table in order to enhance Lilly's sexual education. They both agree to keep it in the friends with Benefits category. Good luck with that since they have had a long caring history with each other and Justin is very protective of Lilly's feelings.

What was so touching about listening to their relationship evolve was their intimate discussions, especially since Justin does not know Lilly's complete secrete. The author made their discussion real, that I felt like a little mouse watching their intense, emotional and playful conversations. Even Justin's monolog about himself and what turns him on about women, was probably more real than some women want to hear, but I'm sure Justin's character was likely modeled after many men's thoughts about what turns then on, but not normally discussed. I'm not going to be a spoiler about this because it's kind of funny. Also Lili Valente writes some pretty good sex scenes that are steamy and a little emotional. So ultimately, I was really surprised how much I enjoyed this book. The female narrator, I would give her a strong B+ but I am comparing to narrators like Andi Arndt which is always a A+. The male narrator was good but sounded a bit too old and a little monotone, yet he was not awful and I thought he did a decent job. I would give him a B. The story was 4 stars only because it did not have kind of punch of some other hockey romance novels that I have listened to, such as Helena Hunting, Pucked Series or Sawyer Bennett's hockey series. Yet, it's better than I expected. If you like Hockey player romance, it worth the purchase and definitely worth selecting if you are on the Romance package.

Barley started

Reviews said it would be comical and an easy listen. It has been in my wish list. I stated it and the male narrator himself didn't seem to care, and neither did I. For a easy going, fill in book between great series I'd expect more considering the rave reviews. Returned asap.

Lots of fun

Considering the title I wasn't expecting much. But it had a nice story and some hilarious dialogue. Definitely worth a listen :)
