Cute Short Romantic Comedy

This was a short fun romantic comedy. It was a relaxing funny story that kept me laughing and wanting more. The author is very talented and I enjoyed everything about it.

Narration was well done and brought the story to life. I'm looking forward to listening to more romantic comedies by this talented narrator.

This short story is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I'm looking forward to reading/listening to more books in this fun series.

Quick, funny listen

Elisa Sax does it again in her 3rd book in the 5 wishes series. Marie is a PhD student who is at an all time low after getting kicked out of school. She decides she is going to do everything the opposite of her life and gets "drunk" at the bar after 1 drink and meets Jarrod.
Jarrod himself is at a crossroads in his life and needs to get married to maintain his wealth and business. This is where the story and humor begins. Yes the book is far fetched but it's a cute, fun read that I highly recommend.

Elisa does a great job with this story and has a great sense of humor. Angie Hickman is a great narrator. She portrays emotions and I would listen to her books anytime.

Laugh Out Loud Funny!

Marie's just been accused of cheating and thrown out of her doctorate program. What else can she do but turn to a life opposite of everything else she's known? She goes to her first bar and manages to down 1/2 of a tequila shot before getting dance on the bar and flirt with a stranger drunk. Luckily, the stranger turns out to be Jared, a hunky billionaire who needs to get married fast. What starts as a hookup turns to a marriage of convenience and then to something more.

Is it possible to smile for 2 hours straight? Marie's inner dialogue is hilarious! I'll never look at a Big Mac the same way again. Elise Sax has the ability to make me laugh on just about every page without the humor being forced. True talent.

The relationship between Jared and Marie went from cute and charming, to hot and steamy, to sweet and considerate. I loved how Jared just rolled with Marie's quirkiness and never made her feel silly. I wished we could spend more time with his awesome grandparents and her father, but the little scenes they did have were like chocolate chips in cookie dough, they just made everything sweeter.

Angie Hickman was absolutely perfect as Marie, her voice just fit Marie's personality so well. She didn't attempt a male voice for Jared, just used a normal speaking voice, so nothing sounded forced. Her timing on the humor was impeccable. I was provided a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review. This is my third Elise Sax book and I'm still in love with her writing, I can't wait for Layla's story!

Story Review:
This series is really entertaining, especially with this narrator. Our main characters meet at a bar. Marie is the good girl slash science nerd who gets accused of plagiarism. She decides she is no longer playing by the rules and gets drunk in a bar. Next thing she knows, she’s marrying a billionaire. This is another funny and cute story by Elise Sax that will make you laugh. Its a great, short book for in between dramas.

Hilarious

This story really made me laugh and brightened my day. Poor Marie and her scatterbrained innocence. Just hearing Angie narrate this awesome story really made my day. I don't know of more to say than this is funny and all together too funny of a read to ever pass it up.

Color Me Surprised

I got this ARC via audiobook boom. This is my voluntary review. When I first heard the narrator I was so prepared to not listen to this story. I am glad that I did and listened to the entire story. This was a cute, funny, unbelievable love story. Marie and her father, as well as Jarrod's grandparents, really made the story. I loved how Jarrod was man enough to allow Marie to be herself, while he helps her and his company to be all that they can be. Glad I got past the narrator's voice and listened to the whole story.

Cute Romantic Comedy

I love romantic comedy stories and these Elise Sax stories are adorable. In this particular story, our heroine is having a particularly terrible day - and drinking for the first time - when she meets a super hot billionaire who has an impressive proposition for her. Hilarity ensues! Definitely recommended and a lot of fun with a HEA.

Great Series!

Any additional comments?

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Five Wishes series written by Elise Sax and narrated by Angie Hickman. Marie Foster is not a cheater. Nevertheless, she gets thrown out of college for doing just that. With her life turned upside down, she decides to try new things. You know...get drunk in a bar. Pick up a guy. Marry a stranger, who just happens to be a hot billionaire. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. The story flowed very well and was very enjoyable. This book will keep you reading long into the night and you will not want to put this book down until you finish. This was such a great read and full of surprises. The narrator did a wonderful job with this book. She did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. Short sweet and hotly hilarious.

I loved this, Marie's innocently hilarious. I've never read/listened to Elise Sax before but if this is the quality of her work, I'll definitely be listening/reading to more.
At first I thought the narrator sounded like a teenager but she did fit Marie, she transitioned into the other characters wonderfully as well. She really brought the story alive.

Feel-good sexy with delightfully quirky characters

This book is absolutely hysterical. Marie is a naive girl with the mature mind of a phD wielding scientist. In fact she is a close to brilliant, blunt speaking, endearing nerd. And on the day her dissertation is wrongly rejected for plagiarism she makes the decision to dramatically change herself, with the help of 1/2 a shot of tequilla. Of course that is when she bumps into Jarrod, a silicon valley billionaire.

Marie is the solution to many problems for Jarrod, including one problem that takes them straight on the path to a high society wedding. Somewhere along the way, between the explosive sexual chemistry and plain speaking observations, love happens. This is about their journey but mostly it is a story about dreams coming true, just not the way initially expected.
