Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Jay Crownover returns with her most complicated hero yet, in the first book in the romantic suspense series The Breaking Point.

Don't be fooled.

Don't make excuses for me.

I am not a good man.

I've seen things no one should, done things no one should talk about. Honor and conscience have no place in my life. But I've fought, and I've survived. I've had to.

The first time I saw her dancing on that seedy stage in that second-rate club, I felt my heart pulse for the first time. Keelyn Foster was too young, too vibrant for this place, and I knew in an instant that I would make her mine. But first I had to climb my way to the top. I had to have something more to offer her.

I'm here now, money is no object, and I have no equal. Except for her. She's disappeared. But don't worry, I will find her and claim her. She will be mine.

Like I said, don't be fooled. I am not the devil in disguise…. I'm the one standing front and center.

The Breaking Point

If you're a fan of Jay Crownover, this is a must listen! The narrators were both spectacular and did a wonderful job of bringing these characters to life.

The Devil Made Me Do It

Where does Honor rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I'm always hesitant about audiobooks. I own very few of them because I think it takes away the characters voice in your head and replaces it, like watching the movie before reading the book alters how characters look. That being said, I had Nassir's voice in my head from my other experiences in the Point, and I was shocked when it poured out of my speakers. The performance was natural, like I was listening to the characters chat over coffee, telling their story.

What did you like best about this story?

I loved getting to know Key and Nassir. They were always a part of the Point, but I always want the back story and to see them come together, especially after Brave. This really does not disappoint!

Which scene was your favorite?

I won't give spoilers... But one of my favorite lines, which I listened to more than once, was "The women have the keys, to the locks and the men's hearts. Don't they always?"

Any additional comments?

Whether on Audible, ebook, or paperback, this story is fantastic. Go back to the Point with the Devil and his Key, and you won't regret it!

On my Honor

Any additional comments?

Nassir's story just broke my heart, I knew he was damaged but I do not think any of Jay's boys were as deeply damaged as him. Honor was just what the doctor order for him, someone that could hold their own and love him, even with all the damage already done to his soul. This is a great book, it has some of this worlds blackest deeds someone can do to a person but shows that there is always hope if the love is strong enough.

Dark but steamy!

This is the first book from the Breaking Point series. I didn't know some of the characters because they were from the previous Welcome to the Point series I hadn't read, but I managed to figure it out. Nassir is a tormented soul but needed to make something of himself before he could get Keelyn, the stripper female he had loved for years. They were both independently strong, and together they were equally strong. This is a dark, angst romance with alpha hot, sweaty, sex scenes. Narration was good. It was worth my credit.

The Devil has found his endgame....

This is a dark, delicious, suspenseful, steamy, and even romantic story. Honor & Nassir have a complicated history, as the story progresss you can clearly see how equally matched they truly are together. Keelyn aka Honor is a firecracker with a ballsy attitude. She is strong, intelligent and sexually confident. Nassir is an enigmatic crime lord whose definitely super sexy badass man candy! He may be cold and calculating, but the author gives us every aspect of his dark and heartbreaking past which sculpted him into the man he is today. Nassir fell for Keelyn the moment he laid eyes on her– working the pole at Spanky’s strip club. That's when he found his endgame. When the raw energy finally combusts between these two magnetic characters it makes this book even more extraordinary. Everything about this story bleed passion & seduction. Nassir could really be a silver-tongued devil when he wanted to and allow his vulnerability side show. Who knew the Devil could be so swoon worthy? And their chemistry is so hot, it burns up the pages. I don’t want to give any of the storyline away, so I am just going to say this book book is worth the credit. It's a beautiful and twisted love story that leaves you begging for more and happy knowing love does prevail.

Excellent dark story

Book was excellent and loved the characters. The female narrator was good at both voices, but the male was really only good at his character. It was okay though, and not too distracting.
