Publisher's summary

After suffering a very public humiliation, Kenadie Marshall realizes that love shouldn't be left only to personal judgement. Instead of wallowing in her misery, Kenadie creates Binary Search, the perfect balance between a software application and human intuition to help others find true and lasting love, all while personally swearing off relationships for good.

Attractive and loveable Jason Hadley is taken with Kenadie from their first meeting. Determined to prove that love isn't over for her, he does everything he can think of, even if it means using her firm's service and dating other women to stay close to her. Jason quickly gains a rally of supporters, including Kenadie's over-enthusiastic mother and meddling best friend, but will his ploys help Kenadie find her match, or jeopardize everything she's created and lead to further humiliations? In an epic battle of wills, this romantic comedy shows that love is patient, love is kind, and love can heal even the most broken of hearts.

Great Characters Come Alive

What does Nancy Peterson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Nancy does a great job reading this book! My favorite character she does is Kenadie's mama, I love that sassy southern accent! She gives great personality to the characters and her inflections are fantastic. I have to admit that I wish she read just a touch faster, but that's because the story is so engaging I'm always dying to get to the end!

Any additional comments?

As with all of Jennifer Peel's books I think her characters are so fantastic. Kenadie has a tender heart that she's doing her best to protect. She strikes a tough balance between vulnerability and strength. Jason is so kind, the perfect gentleman, much to Kenadie's consternation. Zander, mercy, what a character. Sometimes you want to join Kenadie and smack that guy, or hug him for being the soft mushy center that his facade hides.

Sassy mothers, hilarious adventures, and all the feelings are packed into this book where Kenadie figures out whether opening her heart up again is worth the risk!

Great book

Loved it! Good clean romance! Cheering at the end of the book. I love happy endings, but you'll have to read it to see.

Great Story!

I loved the story of Kenadie and Jason but I did want to smack Kenadie upside the head a few times. Was she really that unaware? Kenadie was totally humiliated seven years earlier in front of everyone she knew at what was supposed to be her wedding, so she has completely immersed herself in her company (finding love matches for others) and doesn't date. Jason, a former college roommate of Kenadie's annoying best friend, Alexander (aka Zander) moves to town and is completely smitten with Kenadie. He decides to tear down the wall she has built around her heart and even uses her company's service and dates other women to stay close to her.
Kenadie's family, especially her mama, loves Jason and can see they're perfect for each other. Will Kenadie ever come to her senses and realize Jason has broken down her protective wall and she has feelings for him, and that he cares for her too?
This was my first audible book and I had to get used to the narration. I think Nancy Peterson did a great job as the narrator and being from the south I didn't think her southern accent was over the top. I didn't care for the voice she used for Zander, but I got used to it. I really got into this book and listened to it while cooking, checking email and even in the shower, finishing it in less than 4 days. I received this audible book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

But I didn't love the reader. Some of her voices really bugged me. Overall, I liked the story.

Good story

it took me a little bit to get through this one but overall a good story. I loved the narration but I'm not sure I liked Xander. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Don't Miss This Fun Rom-Com 😋

This is a fun Rom-com that has likable characters and witty dialogue. The plot is refreshingly different and quite entertaining despite some predictable moments and a shortsighted, yet likable, main character. Very enjoyable and a winner for those who like quirky characters and funny scenes. 😊

Nancy Peterson narrates wonderfully. She never disappoints me.

Note: I would give this a 17+ rating. There is some swearing and sexual situations that weren't detailed.

Cute, Fun, Full of Humor!

What made the experience of listening to His Personal Relationship Manager the most enjoyable?

Love the characters in this book. Her Mom pushes her to date, so she'll get married and give her grand babies. She's reluctant from getting burned in the past. Her best friend is obnoxious, but I'm excited to read his story soon! Maybe that will mellow him out some :)

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jason is my favorite character. He takes all the joking in stride. He seems like an easy laid back guy, fun to be around.

Which character – as performed by Nancy Peterson – was your favorite?

All of them, Nancy did a great job narrating this book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, it is full of humor. Loved her mom and her mom's friends.

Fun, easy listen

The story was good. I liked the twist "Dating by Design" adds to the story. I wish we had some more details of Jason's backstory with that, but it wasn't necessary.
I thought the narration was fine. Personally I didn't like how she portrayed Xander; however it was effective.
I'd recommend this to someone wanting an easy, relaxing listen.

Love it!

Love this one from Jennifer Peel. The characters were fun and lovable...from Kenadie and Jason to Zander and the Nanettes, I loved them all. Mrs. Peel had me laughing and crying.
The narration was good. I didn't care for the Zander voice but otherwise it was enjoyable.
I recommend you listen to/ read anything by Jennifer Peel!

Very Personal RM

This was an easy, light read. If you're looking for raw emotion and characters you can't let go, this probably isn't your book. But, if you're looking for a casual read that doesn't require you to invest much of yourself you will love this story. The main character is utterly oblivious to the man who has clearly set his sights on her, sometimes to the point of ridiculousness. But, love prevails nonetheless. Her relationship with Zander is confusing and I didn't quite get their dynamics although I did like his character.

Nancy's narration was tough to fall into early on but as the story progressed I settled into it. She did a great job with Kenadie's mom. Being a southerner, it drives me mad when people attempt a southern accent and the character just sounds ignorant or difficult to understand. Nancy nailed it!

This is the first book I've read by Jennifer Peel and I will definitely look her up for my next easy read. Worth the credit!
