I was engaged in the plot but never gripped

Kaiden Thorne was a drop dead gorgeous sexy Vampire (always a plus) whose deep longing for Skylynn, the mortal girl across the street, is about to get a whole lot worse when she returns from an unhappy marriage to clear out her deceased Grandfather's house. Skylynn has always day dreamed and fantasised about her sexy but mysterious neighbour Kaiden and when he turns up on her doorstep things will change forever for her too.

A tender contemporary sweet Vampire love story about death, betrayal, revenge and love with a few twists thrown in. There's a Hunter that stops at nothing to get his revenge, a traumatised Brother whose lost his memory, an Elixir that has almost magical powers and a few other ancillary characters. There's a bit of action but nothing really pulse pounding and weak, nearly non existent, sex scenes.

I liked this light listen but found it could easily have been a YA rather than the darker, sexier and altogether deeper stories that I love sooo much. I related to Kaiden (well hello who wouldn't) but I found it very difficult to connect with Skylynn and there were a few 'questionable' actions in the plot that I felt were just stupid. It had a 'Twilight' feel and Skylynn even referred to herself as Bella at one point.

Worth a credit? If you're in the mood for, or like, a fairly easy going Vampire romance then look no further you'll enjoy it but for me it wasn't very memorable so I've got to say I'm doubtful about the credit and, if I hadn't already downloaded another book of hers As Twilight Falls I think I'd have passed on it .... but here's hoping.

Terrible narrator

I love that I can listen to books while I do other stuff but this reader is horrible. I so couldn’t get into the book. Please have a different person read the book so I can hear it.

Nothing Special

It took every I had to finish listening to the book. There wasn't any real excitement, passion or suspense in this story. The book was very predictable, and in my opinion, boring. I love vampire and/or supernatural romance books, but this is by far, the worst one yet.
