Publisher's summary

Determined to find a husband for his stubborn daughter, Shona MacGowan’s father has called to his castle Scotland’s most eligible clansmen. But for Shona, only one stands out: the stranger, Dugald Kinnaird. His raw, masculine power entices Shona, and when he sweeps her into his embrace, she knows her vow to never marry will soon be broken.

But Dugald’s true mission is not to marry the bonnie Scottish lass, but to uncover her as the traitor he believes she is. If playing the suitor will get him what he needs then he’ll pretend to be eager to wed this high-spirited beauty. But as his passion for Shona becomes stronger, this Highland Scoundrel soon realizes he must choose between love…and honor.

Feisty, Sassy, and Fun Highland Romance

This is a charming highland romance that is filled with bits of mystery and suspense. The main characters Shona and Dugald are a delightful pair and the secondary characters add depth to this enchanting story. (This is not a heavy detailed historical but more of a fun light-hearted romance)

If you enjoy light, fun-filled highland romances then this one is sure to entertain.

Laugh out loud funny, bought the whole series.

Where does Highland Scoundrel rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Ranks very well, finished it and started it over again. Made my sister listen and enjoyed watching her laugh.

What did you like best about this story?

Character development highly entertaining. Listening to Shona stick her foot in her mouth then get embarrassed trying to fix it, works every time.

What about Gemma Johansson’s performance did you like?

She did a great job on all the characters. Found she did well in every book in the series.I buy a lot of books based on narrators and would buy more from her.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Kilts! Romance! Foot in the mouth heroine! Can't miss good time if you like to laugh

Any additional comments?

Loved the way the characters flowed from book to book. You didn't loose earlier personalities which added to each following book. When you pull up series info more books are there than it looks they just don't show series numbers.

Way to long!

This book was way too long to begin with and could have been a lot shorter. It also did not hold my attention and I found myself skipping through it alt just to get to the end. The narrator Gemma's female voice was horrible!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so sick of it, that I really didn't want to hear the female speak at all. I was expecting far more of this story. So disappointed!!
