Publisher's summary

Colleen Faulkner is a name synonymous with medieval romance. In Highland Lady, Elen Burnard makes a deathbed promise to her father to protect the estate and reclaim valuable lands that were stolen from the family centuries before. Determined to keep her word, Elen rules the land with an iron fist, until the day her sister is kidnapped by the Forrest family. To ensure her sister's safe return, Elen kidnaps Lord Munro Forrest, and while she awaits the exchange of his life for her sister's, more than her promise is in jeopardy.

Interesting story needing better narrator

Would you consider the audio edition of Highland Lady to be better than the print version?

Never read print version, so I can not compare.

What did you like best about this story?

Lots of dark and devious deeds. Mentally deranged family members, back stabbing and more.

Did Jill Tanner do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Jill Tanner was ok, but I think someone like Davana Porter, Kate Reading would have done a much better job on the voices and accents.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The compassion showed for those who were trying to destroy the family at the end.
