Publisher's summary

When Cameron MacAlpin learns the identity of the golden beauty tossed before him as a debt payment, he can't believe his fortune! For cat-eyed Avery Murray is the perfect weapon to use against Payton Murray - Avery's brother - who dishonored Cameron's own sister. Yet his plan to deliver the same insult and avenge his clan is thwarted by spirited Avery herself, who tempts him to forget everything but the passion coursing through his blood. Still, a knight of the Highlands owes his allegiance to his clan before all else - even his heart.

Avery is outraged at her captor's accusations against her brother. Though he makes it no secret that he intends to use her to avenge his sister's lost honor, he adds to her fury by vowing to take her by seduction, rather than force. Worse, she knows deep down that this virile knight stirs her as no other man ever has. Courageously, passionately, she gives him freely what he vows to take - her body and her heart - knowing that she could lose all on the chance of everlasting love.

Critic reviews

"Hannah Howell's legion of fans will delight in yet another installment of her Highland series. Funny, yet heart-warming and poignant, Highland Knight is just the story for an armchair vacation into days of yore where knights were bold and lassies sassy." ( Romantic Times)

Another great story

I feel like I’m getting redundant in my reviews of Hannah Howell’s books but this was another wonderful listen of a book filled with passion, love, adventure, twists and turns and remarkable characters which flow from book to book so that they become like old friends. This was a wonderful listen with a great narrator. Ms. Dawe is very talented and I enjoyed her performance immensely.

Love this story

Just listened to this story for the third time (not in a row LOL). Still makes me smile and laugh out loud while gardening. Neighbors are getting used to me and my audiobooks.
Love the stories joining together and getting to know each member of all the families. Listening in order of release this time. . .

Her Knight

Another great book narrated by Angela Dawe. She did a fabulous job on another Hannah Howell book. Cameron is angry and needs to get home to make sure Sir Payton Murray marries his sister. He believes his sister was raped. When he comes upon Avery and Gillyanne Murray he decides to use them as bait to get Payton to marry his sister. When he tells Avery what he is going to do she knows Payton would never rape a woman nor would he ever deny his own child. As they run from the Duvales
she will try and change Cameron's mind as she falls in love with him.

Another great addition to the series!

This is a very good series. I really like how the author connected things in this book to others in her series. Angela Dawe is a very good narrator for this kind of story. The story flowed well and kept me interested to the end. I hope there are more in this series to come the Murry family is wonderful.

Talk, Dark, and handsome

Cameron & Avery
I think that this has always been one of my favorite stories in this series. I love Avery and Gilman and the story mirrors her mothers that it just makes it that much more enduring to me. I love the whole part about the blackberry jam! (Read to find out) the comedy that was in this story makes it one of the best for me.
Great all way around story! Narrator Angela Dawe is awesome too!

love this story

I love everything about this story. This lady is one of better narrators, that said I wish they would use a male and female narrator for each set. It would really add to the story and I would buy more books with the male and female narrators.
