Painful to listen!

I've decided to go read this one.... where Caroline Kinsolving may be okay at any English performance her Scots brogue is literally painful. The prim and proper English lady trying to do medieval scot is bad, verrrry bad! And I tried but I kept laughing at how bad it was when the actual story required a much different response. I can't give examples even it was that outrageously horrible, inappropriate and silly!

Hannah Howell writes some excellent books but I'll have to charge my kindle to see how this one goes.

Not like the others...

I purchased this book thinking it was like the others in the series. It was not… I don’t know if it was simply that the supernatural is not for me but I just did not like this book. I liked the idea of having more than one story but then it got to the spooky “old ways’ of the highlands.

THE NARRATOR was not so good. She doesn’t have the correct accent for the role. And if you think about it, you’re going to compare this narrator to the one for the previous Books in the series and she just doesn’t measure up…
