Geeks rule in this delightfully dangerous dragon adventure.
The badass dragon shifters of the Iron Claws motorcycle club will risk everything for the people they love. Cast out from their dragon clans, they must use their cunning and strength to defy the laws of their people and stay one step ahead of those determined to keep life-saving cures out of the hands of humans.
Brilliant, transgender shifter Alec Harper is trying to atone for his dark past by dedicating his life to healing humans. When it appears his life-saving drug may actually be a life-taking drug, Alec must race to discover the truth before more innocents die.
Vampire scientist Penelope O'Hara has been fascinated by all things supernatural for 300 years. When Alec saves her from a sudden attack by dragon shifter goons, Penelope is pulled into a dangerous world of hackers, killers, and conspiracies. Logic tells her that the perils of being with someone from the Iron Claws is a bad idea, but her heart keeps telling her to stay.
This adult novella includes daring rescues, sexy science, and a nerdy romance that defies expectations.

And, in the stunning finale...
I was given this audiobook for an honest review. I enjoyed this book. I was not sure I would enjoy a transgender story, but this one is a little different than most transgender stories. Alec is a male dragon and a female human. However, Penelope first smells him as male and sees him as male. It is very interesting. The story is great, as AJ Tipton usually delivers. The Narrator, Beizo Tierno, did a great job. I enjoyed his story telling. Looking forward to the next/final book in this series.

Loved the narration had a little trouble with some of the story but I think that was my problem
Alec is a transgender dragon shifter who saves Penelope, a vampire, from an attack. In order to help her recover he allows her to drink his blood and before she has actually seen Alec, she developes an attraction to him. Except Alec is a man in a woman's body who has decided not to change his physical appearance to suit someone else's expectations and as a result is not expecting to find his mate. Despite the confusion between what his blood communicates, which is distinctly male, and what he looks like, Penelope is attracted to Alec and is willing to explore where that takes them.
This book is part of a series that focuses on a dragon MC that provides healing puff, powdered dragon scales, to humans who are terminally ill, giving them a second lease on life. Their efforts are being countered by the Dragon Council who repeatedly attact them from all angles. The romance of the story is sensitively and humourously written and balanced neatly against the action. The book is pretty action packed as the struggle between the council and the MC continues.
The story is wonderfully interesting, especially considering the entire narration is only slightly more than 2 hours long. I really enjoyed the characters and the overall development of the plot. I am already itching to listen to the last and final installment of the series.
This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
