Publisher's Summary

When they were only teenagers, Axel and Caxton were caught making out in the woods at church camp. And afterward, Cax had disappeared from all the youth group activities.

Six years later Axel is astonished to spot his first love's face in the crowd of a college basketball game he's watching on television - at a school that has just offered him a job. It's a thousand miles away, in a tiny rural town. But suddenly he can't wait to get there.

Cax can't believe his eyes when Axel appears in the same Massachusetts town where he now lives. And he's still just as drawn to him as ever. But he can't let himself go there again, because loving Axel will mean giving up everything else he holds dear.

Both men have so much to lose. But as far as their love is concerned, it's Hello Forever.

I was hoping for more of Caleb and Josh in this book but I still enjoyed this book very much. This is absolutely a stand alone so if you haven't read book 1, you should because it was amazing but you don't have to to understand this one.

I love that all of the MM books I've read by Sarina Bowen have characters that have known each other forever, that always helps me fall in love quickly with the love story. These two have some serious obstacles to work around to be together but they handle it beautifully. I love that this book had zero self created drama and that ending had me swooning!!! Great book!!

The narration was great, I'm a huge fan of Teddy Hamilton so I knew I'd love the narration but the were both great.

I REALLY LOVED THIS ONE!! GREAT STORY!!!

If you could sum up Hello Forever in three words, what would they be?

Beautiful, Sexy, Awesome!!

What did you like best about this story?

The love these 2 guys had for each other...they were childhood sweethearts...they were meant to be!! LOVED!!!

Have you listened to any of Dake Bliss and Teddy Hamilton ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have...this one was better than book 1...Older characters and they were more settled into each other I think...It just clicked better!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both!! My heart is so full now!!

Any additional comments?

Axel and Cax!!! Ohhh these poor young men just wanted to be together..to love each other freely and Cax's dad was a total D Bag...he tried everything to keep them apart..threats first.and when it didnt work...Violence....But true love is unbreakable....and in the end it prevailed...I love Sarina Bowen books!! I need more!!

TOTALLY RECOMMEND!!!!

5 Hello Forever Stars

When I first started this book I thought… OH No not another one where the man can’t accept who he is.

But I kept on reading because it is Sarina Bowen and she hasn’t steered me wrong yet.

And I found that I really enjoyed Axel and Caxton’s story because one accepts who he is and the other learns to accept himself because of the other one.

It really is a great story of finding yourself even when the odds feel like they are against you.

I hope Sarina writes more MM because she just makes you feel so many things for these strong men who want and need love too.

The narration was fanfreakingtastic as always when these two preform together.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

OK but not as good as the first book.

One narrator was quite good but the other one, who narrated Cax's chapters, spoke too slowly, paused in odd places and placed emphasis on the wrong words in sentences. It was very distracting.

The story was quite good, though fairly predictable and less compelling than the first in the series. More could/should have been done with the psychological impact of violence and trauma, otherwise why include it? The characters seemed to largely unaffected as they raced towards the inevitable HEA mimicry of hetero marriage and family.

Good Romance

This book was particularly good. Both Axel & Cax were likable, and it was nice re-visiting a more mature Caleb & Josh. My only 2 criticisms are that I would've appreciated learning more about Caleb & Josh, what had happened since last we met them, and what their life was like now; and I really found the names "Axel" and (especially) "Cax" annoying.

The romance was not without tension and a potential disaster, and the tension in this book hit particularly hard. At that point, it proved absolutely impossible to put the book down (or stop listening, as it were).

The resolution was as one might've expected, but that's fine. It's a romance after all. It's how we got there that mattered.

Bliss & Hamilton did a fine job reading, though Hamilton is the better of the two.

True love never fades.

What made the experience of listening to Hello Forever the most enjoyable?

Getting to hear Axel and Cax's thoughts come to life. Especially Cax and all he's had to go through in his young life. My heart broke for him, because of his father.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hello Forever?

I knew Cax's dad was a jerk from reading the book, but hearing "him" and the vile things he said brought it to a whole new level. What an evil, awful man he is.
I loved the sweet moments between Axel and Cax, and how patient Axel was with him, knowing everything he's dealt with.

What about Dake Bliss and Teddy Hamilton ’s performance did you like?

Teddy always does such an amazing job, he really brings all the emotions to a character. I could seriously listen to him all day! I enjoy Dake's narration, it's so different from Teddy's that you can "see" the differences in the characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It definitely made me tear up. It's so sad to think there are kids out in the world who have a parent just like Cax's dad, who hate them just because they aren't what the parent wants them to be.

A rating...

My Review:
Overall: 4.5
Performance: 4.25
Story: 4.75

I loved this book. (And huge bonus...I had no idea how Josh and Caleb were going to tie into this story...OMG, they are Axel's landlords and friends...he lives in their additional apartment, so we got to see a fair amount of them in this story...YAY!)

Cax and Axel shared a single kiss in church camp before they were caught and sent home. For Axel's mom, she just laughed off his indiscretion. But Cax's parents had a very different reaction...they were horrified and moved away. Since then the guys have never been in touch. Cax is still in his hometown though because he tries to act as a buffer between his three younger brother's and their abusive father. As a result, if he wants to stay in their lives, he has to stay in the closet.

Axel is the new PR guy for the college sports department. That was one of the things that the two guys bonded over...basketball and where they find one another again. At first, Axel is very respectful of Cax's need to not go there, but as they get closer the temptation grows. And you can see where this is going.

Yes, things get very nasty very quickly, but it made for a scintillating, completely engaging read. There's a surprising amount of action in what isn't a very long book and it made the pages/minutes read fly by.

I loved this story...as well as the first one in the series. Both books can easily be read as stand-alones, but both books are great so you'll want to grab them both.

Stay away. One of the narrators (Dake Bliss) is awful

Someone below said it and I thought “come on how bad can the guy be?” But yikes he’s awful. From the fact that it seems like he’s using less professional equipment that your standard audible narrator (I have to turn up the volume five extra notches for his as compare to Teddy’s) to the fact that he is so stilted in his “performance” (I use that word so loosely.) Where as Teddy is truly what you’re used to from great audiobook narrators this other guy (Dake...dank) is reading poorly and doing such a stilted.....job of it. (That weird ellipses pause there is what it’s......like to hear him read the book) honestly I’m trying to decide if I should ask for money back because wow. Please only listen to this as a last resort. Read it or just skip this story overall. That’s how bad the performance is to hear. I truly love the author’s other works but this is a painful listen.

A nice follow-up to Goodbye Paradise.

I adored Goodbye Paradise the first audiobook in the series, and while I liked Hello Forever a lot, it wasn't as good as the first book. Each focuses on different couples, so can be read as standalones, but I loved the inclusion of book #1's Caleb and Josh as secondary characters in Axel and Cax's story.

The dual narration was excellent and added depth to the story. The plot tended to be melodramatic, which is the reason for the 3 stars, but ultimately the story had strong character development. I would definitely recommend for those who enjoy m/m romance.

Got a bit bored

I returned this one as I won't listen again. By the end I just wanted it to end. Story was predictable, sweet, but predictable. Just got bored by about half way but persevered.
The two main characters Ax and Cax - kind of confusing too
