Publisher's summary

When I was 17, I disappeared. I walked out the door of my apartment with a backpack and never looked back. I left the life of Cora Mitchell behind, seeking freedom from my real-life nightmare.

But my freedom came with a cost. I lived a fictitious life for the next six years, never letting anyone close enough to see underneath the façade that was Andra Walker. I was content with my simple little life. Until I met Julian. And the moment I started allowing myself to open up, allowing someone to see through the superficial, was the very same moment the Monster from my past would return to find me.

I wish I could give this book 10 stars.

This is my first book by this author and I am just giddy with excitement to read more because of how great this book was. Whitney describes love, emotion, colors in such a beautiful and meaningful way. I was so impressed. There was not even one second where I looked at my phone seeing how much longer I had. Every minute of this book is filled with ALL THE FEELS. ALL OF THEM. RIGHT HERE.

And the narrator... Perfect choice for this book. Her cadence and tone was exactly what I would have chosen.

3 ☆☆☆

I was instantly drawn in at the beginning. I liked seeing the life the heroine was able to lead once she was away from the monster. Where I struggled was with the lack of build up between the two main characters. It wasn't insta love but within a days of meeting they were on multiple dates. I found that kinda hard to believe since the heroine had basically said she was a one night kind of girl. The change on that was just super quick. There are still many secrets floating so I am curious where the story is headed.

Narration was amazing!

A bit wordy...

The story was very good. But, there were a few times that I actually laughed out loud because of the extreme details. The sometimes excessive details were not so bad that it kept me from enjoying the book though.

Running from the past

Tainted by circumstance and secrets Andra has lost a bit of herself until she moved to a farm where she found a second chance at life.

Overall:
It was easy to not define Andra by her past circumstances since the story began with her starting her new life on the farm. The focus was on building a relationship with the new tenant and life on the farm.
Andra’s character didn’t feel damaged just cautious and protective of her heart.
Each time I saw Six’s name I got excited at the prospect of reading more about him. I forgot this was where Six got his introductions.

I felt there was too much dialogue and not enough angst. Andra’s character was too straight forward and too matter of fact. Julian did balance this out with his slower pace, yet I still felt it was so so.
There was also too much exposition and explanation. I get that stories need attention to detail, but there is such a thing as too much.

Narrator:
Erin Spencer was the solo performing narrator of He Found Me. Erin read these scenes word perfectly with great sound quality and style. Erin brought these characters to life.

Omg...no true plot or twists...sorry but do NOT recommend...too much description and no substance

Too much description and no substance. Story line leaves you with no true ending ... very disappointed

Monster

Never had I wanted a monster to never show up more than after reading this book. It gives me the chills to even think about the monster, but I feel like Andra overcame it and will finally be able to let it go. This was an emotional roll coaster, the ending was fantastic, had me on edge.

Slow starter. Cliff hanger ending

This was a free with my membership and, for the first hour of listening I was glad I didn’t pay for it.

I try to stick with a book especially one I think is mediocre but I’m listening while doing housework.

Then the book began to be more interesting and I began to pay more attention.

It turned into an exciting plot with a cliff hanger for an ending.

I’m glad the second book is also available-free for me also.

Suspenseful, emotional, humorous

Loved this narrator. She did a great job of bringing the story and characters to life.

While I had read the book before, I forgot how quickly it ends! I love Andra. She's a strong heroine. I love that she protects the few around her that she loves. I like how playful, and eventually, open her relationship with Julian turns out to be.

A lot of open ends left, leaving it wide open for the second book. Looking forward to learning more about these characters.

Great book

I love this author! The characters are so realistic and none of the back and forth whinnying female. I love the turns and twists. Great read and story. Love
