the story was a beautiful story and well written.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator. The audio version needs a narrator with better tonality.

What did you like best about this story?

As usual, this story was consistent with the authors beautiful gift for writing. She needs to listen to her narrators as Joy Hooper should be off her list

What three words best describe Joy C. Hooper’s voice?

Horrible, squeaky, boring

Too long and blah

I couldn't wait until the end. I'm a fan of Alers, but this whole series has left a lot to be desired. The plot was predictable and boring. The narrator did little to empress me. I like the concept of the island but I'm left looking for more.

excellent book

the writer is excellent and has amazing stories. however listening to this book was the worst. the narrator was so dull and boring as a rock. She did not bring life to the characters they all sounded the same. Great books like what this author writes needs someone that could pull you into the story. This narrator failed miserable.

Romantic!

The narrator’s voice wasn’t as appealing, but the story was sweet. Very descriptive to the point that Cavenaugh Island is on my must see list.

Great Storytelling

This book is by far my favorite out of the Cavanaugh Island series. I do still have the next book to go. I pray it is as good as this one. I truly enjoy reading any and everything Rochelle Alers puts on paper. I found the characters and their backstories well rounded. As with all the books in a series that Mrs. Alers writes I love how she updates us on characters from previous books. I found this story truly believable you know something that could happen to anyone I know. I really would love to see Morgan and Nate featured again in another story. Honestly I could see this entire series as a drama series on tv.

Terrible book!

Narration is painfully slow as is the story with the majority being excruciating details about food...what they ate, how it was prepared, where it came from. AND WHEN IT WASN’T FOOD, IT WAS WHAT THEY WERE WEARING or how things were decorated. Really, really boring. And VERY REPETITIVE.

NOT AT ALL LIKE THE FIRST IN THE SERIES.
