Publisher's summary

As the star forward for the Boston Blades, I've earned a reputation for no-strings attached hookups and a mean slapshot that has all the ladies purring - but it's never been the one woman I want to see all fired up and ready to score. Boston's own Ice Queen Gwen James has had my emotions all tangled up for years. I've played the games. I've sat on the sidelines. No matter her reasons, I'm done being benched. When she approaches me for a second chance, I accept on one condition: she's got to prove she's all in. No kissing. No sex. It just might kill me to keep my hands to myself, but it's time Gwen knows what it's like to beg. At the end of the day, I play to win, and I want what no other man has ever had...her heart.

Contains mature themes.

Loving Hockey Romance

It was sweet, steamy, cute, and so enjoyable. I wasn't a huge fan of Gwen in the last book, but in this one it was like a revelation and I really loved it.

I very much enjoyed this!

I loved the narrators and story. I loved how Gwen overcomes her fears. Maria Luis knows how to weave a good story. Gwen and Marshall both have very interesting back stories and I love how they come together in the end.

5⭐️Across the board.

I'm plowing thru this series this week.
This has been the best one so far.

I was a bit shocked to her the Southie accent, considering it was completely ignored in book 2.
Joe's voice was about 2 octaves delle and more gravely than Elizabeth's. Her voice for Hunt sounded a bit childish- reminded me of Irkle from Family Matters in the 90s.
Several plot twists were done very well.
Kudos
I would definateltly recommend this book.

Loved it!

Loved Marshall and Gwen’s story. These two did not have it easy but when they finally get together it’s amazing! So many twist I wasn’t prepared for.

Gwen is no longer the mean girl!

My perception of Gwen has changed since book 1. I no longer see her as the mean girl and can relate to her. That’s one thing that I love about Maria’s characters, they are so relatable. We learn so much about Gwen and Marshall and what their childhood’s were like. These two have such great chemistry and it was fun to listen to their story unfold. I can’t wait to listen to the next book.

Great story

I liked the story real well. Kept my interest and a little different than the others. I've found out I love hockey romance! Only thing I found was Elizabeth Harts man voice was horrible. I could not picture a big muscular hunk with that voice and accent. She was great for the female though, and of course Joe Hempel did a good job.

It was just ok.

There wasn't anything bad to say about this book but there wasn't any reason to give accolades either. It was just the same story of one person in the couple who makes dumb decisions, they break up and then get back together. I'd really like to see more stories where the person who has the problem/issue goes straight to the person they supposedly love the most and tell them what's happened. Then have the story be about them working through the problem together and coming out the other side even stronger. I'm really kind of tired of the hero or the heroine trying to hide the problem. Then when it comes out, as it always will, they end up broken apart before they eventually reconcile.
