Publisher's summary

Having rocked the world via high magic that was believed lost, the dungeon Sistina has shown her power at last, as she has done everything in her power to protect those that she loves. Crowned queen of the new city of Beacon, Phynis Constella is searching for allies as full-scale war erupts between her homeland of Sifaren and the fallen nation of Kelvanis.

Each side must use everything in their power to defeat the other, but with the threat of the goddess Tyria looming, there can be only one victor. Long-waiting plans at last are rising to a head, and even Sistina is uncertain of whether or not she can survive them. But for her beloved Queen, she is willing to risk anything.

This is the final chapter of the Ancient Dreams trilogy.

Epic Finish

A strong finish for the Ancient Dreams trilogy, thankfully this won't be the final peek into the universe that Benjamin Medrano created and I can't wait to see more.

35 years ago I played D&D

Fantastic! This author tied imagination required D&D games to modern MMOROPG seamlessly. Great Series, worth every penny!

quite enjoyable. good ending.

was a nice and enjoyable book, good ending and enjoyable story.
it didnt overstay its welcome and it didnt feel rushed.
i would have liked more focus on the dungeon aspect oppose to the human aspect as it makes little sense something that old, that powerfull and that knowledgable would be ok with allowing a far less intelligent, far less knowledgeable and far younger etc. person to rule it for long.
i feel like the dungeon becomes more of a "tool" than a personallity towards the later stages which is quite sad as it is what really made it interesting and unique.

anyway it is a good serie and worth listening to as it makes you feel that the time was nicely spend and that your not missing more or had to fight to get through it ^^
however i would properly not enjoy a forth book unless the dungeon takes FAR more control over what She wants out of her new existance and it developes to more than just a haram of girls. dont mind that being there just need to be something more that she is strifing for ;)

Love it!

Ancient Dreams has been one of my favorite trilogy’s and as a queer woman I appreciate the way that Benjamin Medrano creates wonderful worlds of a magical fluid world where there is no bias or discrimination of who someone happens to love. Everyone in his stories have a fluidity that is a world I dream of. Thank you!

Loved the whole series

This book spent a lot less time from Sustina's perspective while still exploring her history.

Best of the three

So most of the loose threads were dealt with by basically rolling nat 1s and dying. Which wasn't a bad thing. But created a very noticeable unique feeling to the story.

All the romance plots was a negative. They felt like the romance plots in an action movie. Something included out of obligation that adds nothing and just uses up time.

Also he really needed to limit the anthill metaphor to just one per book.
