Such a great story!

I am a long time JG reader and I really loved this story. JG has the ability to create this lovable characters with very different and well developed back stories. I enjoy how strong her female characters are. Her male characters are so loving and caring of their women, not perfect but they always have that "protect my woman" thing that I can't get enough of. Ward a man with a really difficult past and Adelind with her sweet amd trusting personality make such a great couple. I just love how she does a nice and long epilogue (something not many writers do. BTW THANK YOU JG). Both narrators did a great job.

Good read

Great narration both FMC and MMC. I would consider this a sweet with a bit of dark. If you like dark romance, this isn't for you. - it will fall flat. The conflict isn't prolonged or particularly unique but it's just enough to be entertaining. This is really a common tale of a man with a dark history finding a woman to be his light and future. I do like the multiple epilogues that let us see into the future. :)

I am a huge Jessica Gadziala fan. I have eye read most of her books and am very excited that we are now getting some audiobooks too. Below is my GR review. The audiobook was narrated very well and highly recommended.

As this was my first read by this author, I had no idea what to expect but saw the fighter on the cover and knew I would give it a go.
Ross Ward is definitely an anti-hero. He is very rough around the edges to put it mildly. When he finds a woman knocked unconscious behind the dumpster of his fight club, everything changes. Adalind is rather naive but certainly not weak. She just isn't too sure about getting involved with a criminal.
I really enjoyed this novel. The author has an easy flowing writing style, the characters are engaging, and the plot moved along at a good pace. There were several side characters mentioned making me want to read other books to learn more about them. This novel does stand alone, as I said it was my first read by this author and I wasn't lost at all.

Another beautiful story!

I love Jessica’s books (also just finally learned how to pronounce her last name haha). This love story tugged at my heartstrings. The mentions of my favorite Navesink banks character was also a nice addition.

I read this book when it came out as an ebook and was stoked to see that an audio book was available. My commute is horrendous. Audio books make it all tolerable.

I enjoyed the voice actors. They were believable as Ward and Addy and really made the story shine. Their depiction of Adler made me laugh snort.

I really like the story and the characters. My favorite parts were towards the end. I would have given it more stars if instead of getting the glimpses into the future we had actually gotten more. I'm greedy like that and I loved the friendship between Ward and Adler so I would have liked to have gotten more. Great narration.

Why, why, WHY can’t this b a visual book???? This was an “accidental” find when searching for a book 📖 n I’m sooo glad I found it... I love MMA books n have had this package for about a year and never came across this, n OMG 😘😚😉🤗🤭🙃😊 I’m so glad I did...
I hope 🤞🏼 there’s a sequel with Adler...
the only thing that I can complain about is that I think the ending is short and rushed... I almost thought it would b a cliffhanger but am so happy it didn’t... can’t wait for her next 📖 2 come out in a week 🤗

Good storyline

Loved listening to this story during my daily commute. Jessica Gadziala never fails with her story lines♡

North - Great / Cook - Robotic - Story Awesome

I usually only write reviews by indicating if it gets 5 stars or 1. In this instance, I have to say something. I LOVE Jessica Gadziala and ALL of her books. I am excited that they have turned them into audiobooks (NEXT STOP MOVIES!). However, the female narrator for this story is driving me bonkers. I am not sure if it is just me but she sounds like a computer-generated voice. Her speech is not fluid like a normal person speaking, but as if she is reading. There isn't much inflection and it stilted. It is really taking me out of the story. The guy narrator, by comparison, is great. Unfortunately, because the story alternates between the male POV and female POV it is making it difficult to enjoy. I just wanted to give some feedback for the future.

Why did it take me so long to listen?

I have had this book for ages and kept putting it off. When I finally downloaded it I was beyond happy with my decision. A little offshoot of The Henchmen that makes me want to immediately buy Adler. All the stars. JG is a great story teller. I should have known that it was going to be good.
