Publisher's summary

If there was such a thing as an urban legend in Cotton Creek, it was Grady Judd. He'd broken the heart of every woman he'd ever kissed, and he'd kissed a plenty. Many tried to rope him, tie him down, and drag him to the altar, but Grady wasn't the marrying kind. In fact, no one was quite sure what kind of man Grady was. He showed up now and again, tended to his ranch, and then would disappear just as fast and never utter a word as to where he'd been when he came home again.

He was a sexy temptation, rolled up in a fine male package, and was all too willing to deliver a night of pleasure. He was also completely unwilling to let anyone inside his impenetrable wall. It was all fun and games or nothing at all.

Until he showed back up in Cotton Creek this time to discover that he's not the only heart breaker in town, which leads to a whole new game and an entirely new question. Could Grady Judd finally have met his match?

Good!

Really enjoyed this romance and I was excited this author wrote such a strong heroine. Loved Charli! Can't wait for book 2

Good but...

The story was interesting but it felt a bit scattered. In the begin it seemed to be a cowboy romance, then it made a quick detour into some light paranormal, turned into suspense/romantic suspense, another quick stop at paranormal, then took a dive into thriller/police procedural and came back to romance.

There was just too much, too many directions being pulled at the same time, which left the story somewhat lost in the middle of it all.

It was also a bit short, which is surprises with so much plot all over the place. This story could easily be twice as long and better developed if a single genre was picked and explored in more depth. It would make a very good romantic suspense with more direction if all the side stepping was eliminated. But that's just one opinion, so check for yourself.

The narrative itself is good, even though 3rd person is not really my favorite.
The narrator did a very good job at it and his voice and the story had an old feel to it. No bad. Just not modern. It felt like one of those classic detective shows like Kojak or Columbo.

Interesting

I found this an interesting romance from a new author to me. Grady and Charli, the two main characters, were both strong alpha types and both had their demons to fight. There were no graphic love scenes, though there were references to them, including a reference to BDSM. There was a lot to this story and you really needed to listen and pay attention to get the full impact of the story. There were some disturbing and emotional parts but also some sweet ones as well. It’s unfortunate the story ended so abruptly, it would have been nice if there would have been an epilogue. I thought it was fairly well written though and that J. Scott Bennet did a very good job narrating. I received this audiobook for free and am providing an unbiased review.

Is there “more” to being a player?

I received this book for an honest review.

Two main characters, Grady and Charli, seen by the world as players. They spend time with the opposite sex, have a good time and do not do relationships. It all about to change when they meet and fall in love with each other. They fight it at first, but could to win the bottle with their heart.

This story has it all: love, passion, compassion, paranormal, suspense, and a little bit of thriller. Even though the story jumps from one style to the next, overall, this is a very entreating book.

The narrator did a great job with different voices and emotions. The events in this book happen in Taxes and he has a great southern style of talking.

Heartbreaker & Hero

Grady is runs roughshod over the hearts of women in Cotton Creek until he meets the new Sheriff’s Deputy Charli Sampson. Sparks fly immediately but she is not sure she can trust him……Grady on the other hand wants her in his life and will do whatever it takes to make that happen. Great HEA.

Good story but needs more development

I was drawn into this story and couldn't stop listening. Parts of the storyline advance a little too quickly and could have used more development but still worked with my imagination.

J. Scott Bennett is excellent at narrating and has an easy to listen to sexy voice.

Grady and Charlie sitting in a tree?

I really enjoyed this book, except for one part. When Grady goes to the local Honkytonk a redheaded woman walks up and gives him a big O kiss. Then a short blonde comes up and tells the redhead to leave her man alone. While they’re arguing Grady just sits there then they start fist fighting and he leaves the bar. I thought if they want to betray him as a great guy why wouldn’t you say look ladies I am neither one of you man just stop the fighting. Instead he just walks out and although this is just a tiny part of the book it really got on my last nerve. Having said that the rest of the 99.9% of the book was really good! I loved it! If you love romance you would love it to sienna stone is a master when it comes to romance and it is made clear and for certain with Grady Judd that is why despite the above problem I still gave it five stars, because that is an issue that probably will only affect me LOL! I was given this book to post an honest review and here it is.

Heroes and Heartbreaker #1

Didnt know what to expect with this audio book, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The story evolves around Grady an alpha rancher and army seal, and Chatlie a beautiful, strong yet damaged deputy. Both are heartbreakers, not looking for love - but they've each ment their match. Full of heat, feelings, danger and action, also full of a great cast of characters.
Narrator did an excellent job of reading all roles, male and female with a slight southern drawl.

What a smokin hot book with the sexy as sin Grady. This book pulled me in and kept me hooked from the beginning. Grady is a grade A heartbreaker. He has no intentions of ever settling down. He is a kiss em and leave em type of guy. What happenes whe Grady meets his match. Charli is an amazing headstrong women. Is she going to be the one to penetrate Gradys heart? This is a must read. Cant wait to read more.
