Team: A.L.P.H.A.: Six battle-hardened alphas with one goal - to save any omega in peril

Preston Tierney, the omega son of a prominent senator, has been taken by a secret group with an ax to grind. Party boy Preston was just out looking for a good time until he was grabbed - plucked right from a party in the middle of a crowd. When he wakes up, he finds himself caged like an animal in a remote cabin far from home.

Noah Perkins is a strong alpha who leads his unit with a strong hand - and a great sense of humor. The last thing he expected when he went to free the sassy little thing in the cage was to scent his own fated mate.

Noah and his crazy crew must free Preston from captivity - from his kidnappers, and again from a source much closer to home than they would’ve imagined - while Noah tries to figure out how to tame his bristly omega and truly embrace the team’s motto: Accept, Love, Protect, Honor - Always.

This is the first in a new series but can definitely be heard as a stand-alone novel. You can expect to find naughty, knotty scenes of steamy passion, along with a lot of potty-mouth language and some violence. No jackals were harmed in the writing of this book - unless they kinda deserved it. HEA definitely included, intended for listeners age 18 years and older only. Seriously, would you expect anything less from Susi Hawke and Crista Crown?

Sexy short read

It was fun enough, the alpha was hot and the omega was sassy, with the physical scenes very sexy. I did have a hard time with the performer, I felt that his acting didn't quite make it for me, both characters sounded alike, and it was a good thing that the book had multiple points of view, because Noah and Preston would have indistinguishable. Overall, I enjoyed it.

B-

This was fun to listen to. However, I wish the more "intense" moments had been more intense. I mean from the time Preston was kidnapped and rescued there wasn't much action. Neither was his rescue from the mental hospital. Overall it was decent to listen to.

Grabbed, Team A.L.P.H.A.

I’ve never read a Christa Crown book before so this author was new to me. I’m sure I will check out more books from Christa in the future when I see them recommended. I’ve got a bunch of Susi Hawke’s books now though and in my opinion this one was definitely another book in the win column for Susi.

Susi’s books are always light and sweet and fluffy fun to Read and/or Listen to. If you’ve read any of those you could see where the collaboration of another author came into play for this one. I’ve recently started purchasing up all of the Audiobooks coming out from Susi because they are always great in audio with the best narrators. Once again this book was really good and funny in Audio, the narrator really got into the story and that was a major plus for me. He made sure that the correct voices went with the right characters and their personalities and I will happily listen to the next books in the series if he’s narrating those as well.

I thought Omega/Preston was hilarious, I really loved how fun and snarky and outrageous his characters personality was. He is used to being rich and spoiled and doing whatever he wants with little to no repercussions, but he really does step up to do the right thing and take responsibility for his actions when it’s needed. He was the perfect opposite for the Alpha/Noah’s character. Noah was a lot more serious and kind of totally clueless when it came to anything other than the “team” and the “mission”. I mean his actions after Preston’s initial rescue just proved that even Alpha’s aren’t right all the time and they do make mistakes too. Luckily he figured out his mistakes just in time to make it all right with Preston. I really liked this book, I’m looking forward to the next one as well.

Great Audiobook

I read this first on my kindle and loved it. I am pretty new to audiobooks but I discovered they are great for the drive to and from work. I'm amazed at how diverse the voices were in this audiobook. Peter B. Brooke does a great job. I actually preferred some of the side character voices more than the main couple's voices though. Being new to audiobooks, it did take me a bit of time to used to his reading voice. I tend to be more attracted to unique sounding voices, so kudos to him for winning me over with a more 'normal' voice. He does a great job of distinguishing all the character voices and only a couple times when I wasn't paying enough attention was I unsure of whether he was reading or speaking in a character's voice. There are a LOT of characters and I commend him for finding a voice for each of them. None of them sounded the same to me, which is pretty amazing. I was immensely impressed by his voice of the creepy guy in the mental hospital, extremely effective! He made that minor character come to life and I could picture his creepiness.

The actual story is fantastic. Preston is realistic, a rich but neglected young man. Without love, he's rebelled. Noah is badass but kind of socially clueless. I love all the different characters, each with their own personality. The dads are great, love them, especially when they talk to Noah after he messed up with Preston! Preston changes a lot in this story; love gives him the opportunity to grow into someone he is proud of. Team ALPHA is a family and it shows. I truly enjoyed this story both in the book version and the audiobook version.

Not what I was expecting...in a good way

At first, I really couldn't stand Preston nor did I like the drug use at the beginning of the story. With everything he went through, Preston finally grew up proved that party boys can change. I also like that Noah seems like your stereotypical macho man but knows he handled the situation poorly and did what he could to remedy it.

I'm glad I was chosen to review this audiobook. Even though I'd seen the posts about the series on Facebook, I'm guilty of judging books by their covers and I never really liked this one. However, I really liked the story and I look forward to reading the other books in the series.
