Loved this book!

It's been a while since I actively listened to a book like this. I'm talking on my way to work, while at work, and on my way back home from work. Until I finished it. Loved the writing. Loved River and how strong she was as a developing character. She questioned her surroundings in ways that I - as a reader - would have asked had I been in her situation. Not all authors will cover such details so thoroughly. The ending tore me up a bit but I'm sure there are reasons why things had to go down the way they did. I've already purchased the second book and can't wait to see what happens next!

Awesome new series 👍🏻

Just the right amount of supernatural action, adventure, drama and romance. Not too many authors are able to find such a perfect balance of the 4. This book is worth every penny. If you like Stacey Marie Brown books then you will enjoy this new series. Good narration as well!

great story poorly read

I listen to All of Brenda Kay Davis's books on audio book. The woman reading the vampire Awakening series is amazing, this one, not so much. She has like two different tones of voice, it just didn't come across as well. I was a little disappointed in the story teller. She's very monotone and a little boring. However, the story itself is good! I can't wait for my next credit so I can buy the next one.

Strong heroine

I have been having a hard time finding books in this genre where the female lead isn’t helpless, need saving by men, and making stupid decisions. This heroine is a badass!! Amazing feminist read

Soooo freaking good!!

It's so good to finally read a paranormal romance where the female lead isn't a complete whiner who causes drama just for the sake of making the book longer. The first couple of hours in the book are a little slow because you're getting to know River and her love for her brothers. Once she meets Kobal it's just straight action and sparks after that. Of course they don't immediately fall in to each others arms, but the chase is awesome. Their connection and chemistry is so good I couldn't stop listening. I loved the narration because I could tell the difference between the characters and she made Kobal sound like a real man. I loved everything about this book. Once of my all time favorites. On to the next book in the series.

Excellent series

This is an excellent start great series. Brenda brings hell and earth together well. I like the way she leaves you thinking about the story. You are always trying to guess what will happen next.

WOW

What a world I got sucked in!!! Definitely intriguing from beginning to the very end. I couldn’t stop listening and following along as well. Kobal a kind of hell is out searching for the one to end the war and soon ends of finding more than he bargained for. River as a little girl that is when a war started and her life and everyone else’s had changed. Knowing that she is different but ends up finding out more than she can understand. Life has been not what she expected when they took her out of her town by force to volunteer to the other side of the wall and leaving her two siblings behind and not knowing what expected. Great story and can’t wait to read the next installment.

Hell... well why not on Earth!

Angels, demons and humans come together in a new and amazing way in the imagination of Brenda. I can picture it all without feeling like the descriptions took a chapter. This book flows together and draws you in. Sonia did an amazing job narrating. I felt the tears. Anger and rage. Being immersed in this fantastical scary world is an adventure! Happy listening

Slow burn start

Enjoyed the story line of River and not knowing where she comes from and learning more throughout the plot. I am interested to see what happens next.

Good Intentions

If I could give this book 10 stars I would! No word of a lie. I have been in THE worst book rut. Good Intentions had a mixture of romance, action, drama, and paranormal! I totally recomend this book! FYI it leaves on a semi cliffhanger! Jumping straight into book 2!
Narration by Sonja Field was amazing. I loved her voice for both the female and Male characters! Looking forward to listening to more books narrated by her!
