Publisher's Summary

B. J. Clark despised him. As the manager of the Lakeside Inn, she could only feel contempt for Taylor Reynolds, the man who had bought the hotel. His reputation for transforming lovely hotels into modern resorts preceded him.

But when Taylor arrives, B. J.'s loyalties become divided between the hotel and staff and the hot, torrid kisses that she and Taylor share.

Classic Romance!

Where does From This Day rank among all the audiobooks you???ve listened to so far?

This falls right in with my favorites! The humor and sexual tension compliments the characters and just leaves you with a smile on your face.

What other book might you compare From This Day to and why?

Seduction by Design by Sandra Brown read by Jenna Stern

Which character ??? as performed by Therese Plummer ??? was your favorite?

Both main characters are great, but Ms Plummer did such an excellent job with inflections, I loved her voice changes from the southern accent of the cook, to the seductive tones of Taylor Reynolds.

NR fan

I enjoyed most of NR's books, some I consider great love stories. This one didn't have much meat on the bones.

I first read this story many many years ago. Now I have heard it on Audible. Therese Plummer narrates. While she has pleasant voices for the characters I didn't appreciate her interpretation for BJ or at times others. I know NJ looks very young and is naive but Me Plummer made her sound like she was too young. She didn't have the air of authority needed to manage anything let alone a inn.

It is a fairly simple story all in all and somewhat predictable. I was not overly invested but entertained nonetheless.

Narrator was engaging but story was off

I love a good romance but I’m there’s always a little twist when writing about relationships when people work together. Several moments where there’s room for question - “Ummm... this could very easily be sexual harassment...”

“Me too”!

I kept waiting for BJ to report Taylor for harassment!! The characters were not well developed and the plot was week.
Big disappointment! Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors but this book missed the mark.

This book must have been written in the 80's

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

Someone who doesn't mind sexual harassment as a way to romance.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Something newer.

What does Therese Plummer bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She was great, I got lost in her voice until the sexual harassment parts.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from From This Day?

I would have had the heroine quit her job and go somewhere where she was valued as a person.

Any additional comments?

I love Nora Roberts, and this book was written well. I was very disappointed in what I thought was just a light romance.

Too “cheesy”

I thought this book was not up to the standard I have come to enjoy from Nora Roberts and she is one of my favorite authors. If I was not already familiar with her work, I would not have finished the audiobook.
The story line was amateurish and too unbelievable even for a fantasy, take me away read.

I was so glad this book was over! I'm glad I didn't waste a credit on it
