Publisher's Summary

Teddy's back in Miami with her mind made up. Live like it's your last day. Love like it's your last day.

The moment those steel-blue eyes gazed back into hers, there was no question. Asher wasn't just the only one she wanted, but the only one she needed. This time around there would be no more room for regrets, but would they ever be more than friends that still...?

Note: This is the second edition of this title. It features bonus chapters that were not featured in its first edition. It is also part two of a new adult I/R Romance. Suggested for mature audiences due to its explicit sex and moderate drug use.

.Heartbreakingly Beautiful

Would you listen to Friends That Still... again? Why?

Absolutely!I believe even the coldest heart would thaw after listening to this book.i thought Teddy was brave before despite her perceived faults but when she reviled her cancer to Asher. I was struck by a feeling of such warmth, fear and vulnerability on Teddy's behalf. It bravely tries to deal with some hard issues such as the cruelty of cancer and the fragile nature of life and it does so with a palpable lack of empathy. The main character goes through some incredibly harrowing experiences and then almost immediately we are plunged into the lives and consequences of this" friends with benefits " situation of Asher and Reggie. It made my heart soar, plunge and turn in to whirl wind all at the same time .I really feel the inventiveness and characters clarity adds some real meat on the bones of this series .It's a well-rounded and very entertaining story that builds to a genuinely exciting if slightly mind-bending climax. A worthy addition to the genre. The joint narration works really well between Aundrea Mitchell , Logan McAllister . Some conversations between single female and male characters are given a much greater tempo as the two voices mean all the he/she saids are dropped without loss of clarity.Emotions are pulled out of me by these guys even some I was surprised to find myself feeling .I think they make a fanominal team and add exponentially to the story. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.I received this title for free in exchange for an unbiased review. As always this is my honest opinion .The only criticism from me is that I wish it was longer.

FINDING THE STRENGTH TO TAKE THE LEAP

Any additional comments?

I was provided this audiobook through Audiobook Boom at no charge by the narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.

I see a lot of growing and decision making in this sequel. Teddy had the courage to expose her illness only to Asher. Her fight against cancer has given her time to reflect and realize the depth of her feelings for him. It also gives her the strength to choose freedom in her lifestyle over financial support from her parents. Meanwhile, Asher has found that no one can fill Teddy's place in his heart. He continues his daily grind as supervisor in a grocery store, backing out to give her the space she needs to choose between him and Reggie. Teddy is hired at the grocery, and as Reggie also works in the store, the three grow a stronger, yet platonic relationship. Emotions finally break and everything flows out in the open.

Again, I wish this was part of one long book. I think book one was stronger in message and depth. This book follows the aftereffects of decisions made in book one. And, a cliffhanger.

Another TWO THUMBS UP.

Friends

“I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.”

I have not read/listened to the first book, & it seems that maybe I should. It seems like I'm missing something. Steamy...that's what this book is.
I'm not sure what Reggie, Asher & Teddy are like in the first book but in this book...
Teddy is going through some serious issues and is trying to show some real strength but at times she becomes her own worst enemy. She's one of those people you would like to shake & say wake up!
Reggie, to me just seemed like a jerk...playing the field while Teddy works through her "shit"...jerk!!
Asher, he's sweet, patient, sexy & bisexual. He is always trying so hard to be what Teddy needs, but is torn by the situation he is in with Teddy because Reggie still wants her, Asher wants to tell Reggie about him & Teddy but she's not ready.

I think I may need to get the first book to see what it is I missed.

I would recommend this book.

Realistic characters

If you could sum up Friends That Still... in three words, what would they be?

Real, touching, chemistry

What did you like best about this story?

I felt like the characters were everyday people. I felt their emotions and reactions were age appropriate

Which scene was your favorite?

The interview

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

You could. There is a lot of back and forth with the should we tell Reggie or not or when, but it is enjoyable and the plot stays very true to the characters.

give this book a try

G L TOMAS did an ok job with this book 2 of the series. I believe if you listen to the first book the second would be better. I had a hard time with this book, understanding who was who.
Logan McAllister did a good job narrating the book however his female voices are a little off.
Now saying that I believe that anyone would love this true to nature book about being sick with cancer and choosing her feelings for another.
Go ahead and try this audiobook

Teddy and Asher's Story Continues

Any additional comments?

Friends That Still... is Book 2 in the Friends That Have Sex series. Teddy has returned to Miami after being at a cancer center in Minnesota. Her health crisis causes her to re-evaluate her life and she chooses to pursue her dreams with or without the assistance of her parents. She is also forced to acknowledge her feelings for Asher, who has always been there for her.

I enjoyed this audiobook but the "friends with benefits" vs. "friends without benefits" seesaw that Teddy had Asher on was starting to get a little annoying. I'm glad that she finally saw the light and reunited with Asher. As in Book 1, the narration was great and really brought the book to life. I would recommend this but it would be a better experience if you read/listen to Book 1 (F*THS) first.

I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator. This review is my honest opinion.

Friends That Still.... by G.L. Tomas was another great Read. This is the continuation to book one. This book finds Teddy returning to Miami. She decides that she will live and love like today is her last day. She also realizes that Asher is the only person she wants and needs. I can't wait to read the conclusion to this story.

I really love these characters!

One of the things I love about these books is how relate-able the characters are. I feel like these are people you could find in any city in the world.

I really liked book one and this one is just as good. Teddy and Asher have really interesting dynamics between them. In this book we see them trying to figure out if they have a future in a relationship or if they should just be friends that don't f**k. This is complicated by the fact that Reggie still doesn't know about them and the unknown reaction he'll have if he finds out about them and how long there's been a them.

If you liked the first book then you should definitely listen to this one as well.

The narration is great, Aundrea ad Logan do all the books in this series so the narration from book to book is very consistent and the character voices continue to be excellent.
