Publisher's summary

A.D. 1291: Keir St. Hever is a powerful garrison commander for Lord Coverdale on the border of the Cumbrian vales. Whilst attending battle, he receives word that his own castle is under attack. Keir returns to Pendragon Castle to discover that his wife and daughter have been murdered, and his young son is missing. So begins Keir's descent into hell and despair. Three years later, Keir is still searching for his son as he is called upon to rescue the family of an ally whose castle is under siege. Once Keir fights his way inside, the damsel he is supposed to rescue does not believe he is there to assist her and a great battle ensues. But somewhere during that battle, Keir finds a strange and uncontrollable fascination with the Lady Chloe-Louise de Geld. When she's not trying to gouge his eyes out, he catches glimpses of a woman of magnificent red hair, porcelain skin, and delicate features. And so, the love story begins....

Chloe is a much sought after beauty, brilliant, sweet and feisty. She awakens within Keir long-dormant emotions, feelings he believed died when his family perished. He doesn't want to love Chloe but he cannot help himself. His attention should be on finding his missing son but he finds it diverted by a woman he is falling more deeply in love with by the day. A vindictive and evil neighbor, however, who has wanted Chloe for his own, discovers St. Hever's interest and uses lies and manipulation to convince Keir that he has Keir's long-lost son. He proposes a trade - Chloe for the boy. Before Keir can make a decision, Chloe takes matters in to her own hands and the situation goes horribly awry.

Through death, battle, vengeful enemies and ghostly visitors, Keir and Chloe's love remains strong and unbreakable. In the end, Keir must once again wield his sword to save the woman he loves. With flashbacks of the family he was unable to save, will he be too late?

" With Thee Now I..."

If you could sum up Fragments of Grace in three words, what would they be?

A Perfect Epithet

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fragments of Grace?

I think one of the most memorable moments of the story, without giving anything away to the listeners, is when Chloe turns to her father and tells him that she will make "this decision" for herself. She stands up to her father, when she has not done so in the past, and takes her fate into her own hands, all for the love of her life, Keir.

What does Tim Campbell bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tim Campbell is an excellent narrator- he brings the story to life giving each character their own voice and personality. I really enjoy his works! He narrates the Dragonblade trilogy, which this precedes, and it does so perfectly.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

At one point in the story I was angry, at another I was so incredibly sad, this book really has the audience run a gamut of emotions. That is because of the writing and the narrator.

Any additional comments?

I loved this tale, it was amazing and truly enjoyable to listen to Tim Campbell narrate. I would definitely recommend it to others. ;)

Amazing Story

Any additional comments?

Kathryn Le Veque has created an amazing book. This is the story of Keir and Chloe and the tragedy of the past and the deep love they have for each other. I'm not going to go into the story but I highly recommend that if you want a story that will take you from emotional highs and lows and sadness to happiness, Fragments of Grace is the book for you. It is wonderful.Tim Campbell did a wonderful job in his narration. Can't wait to listen to Dragonblade. I'm sure it's just as fantastic as Fragments if that is possible.

Heroine makes me a little angry.

I enjoy the stories about the knights of this area, but I get so angry with the women of the time. The one in this story is no different because again she is made to be naive and way too trusting that all men will do the honorable thing. Her mother is also part of the problem because she oversteps when she should have stayed out of the business of her daughter and her betrothed. The time she should have spoken up, she doesn't and this only leads to more problems for our hero and his lady.

All in all, this is a good story that contains the ghost of a little girl in search of her baby brother. This one is also a love story that grows slowly and deeply while learning not to be jealous of past lives and loves. I thought it was well-written and told and very entertaining.

Always enjoy listening to Tim Campbell

Of all Kathryn LeVeque books this is the first one that had such an annoying heroine. I like to hear about the strong willed, intelligent and loving women in her books. Chloe, was self-absorbed,stubborn, spoiled, and a know it all. She thought that she knew better then anyone, therefore she must be right. The book would’ve been more interesting if the little boy had been returned to his family. I must agree it was still worth my credit. Hopefully the coming trilogy is as fascinating as the de Wolfe pack.

Three's a Crowd...

This is one of my least favorite books, but it comes down to personal preference. For me, there was just SO MUCH emphasis on the deceased wife, ghost of the deceased child, and the missing son that I found the love story between the H and h severely compromised. It wasn't terrible, I just didn't find it to be all that engaging. Throughout you get snippets of the h's spirited nature, and you're really drawn to her, but it never really evolves into something deeper. Fragments of Grace desperately needed an epilogue.
