Publisher's summary

Ivy believes that every life must have balance, and during the past year, she's found harmony living with the Weston pack. When an evil spirit from her past threatens her wolf, it sets off a chain reaction of events that alters the course of her destiny.

Lorenzo Church is a powerful, wealthy Packmaster who rules his pack through intimidation and order. He has vowed to never love a woman because love can destroy an empire. But chaos is fast approaching in the form of a Shifter named Ivy - a Native American, like him, who has invaded his dreams since the moment they met. She is spirited, wise, and unattainable.

5 Four Days Stars

I really wasn’t a fan of Lorenzo from the other books. So for me he really had to redeem himself and let me tell you he does.

I see now why he is the way he is. He has a hard time trusting especially women. And when Ivy comes into his life not only does he feel like he has to protect her, he has this attraction to her.

And that is not easy for a shifter like Lorenzo because he doesn’t have feelings like that toward women. And Ivy is all woman she make him see things in a different light.

And love, love knows no bounds and I love how they both were not expecting it but it happened.

Ivy deserves happiness, her life has not been easy and I think Lorenzo will do anything to make her feel like a queen. She is his and that is that. I loved that. He is Alpha sure but she balances him out. And that is pretty freaking special.

Again Nicole hits it out of the park. Ivy is a unique character and Nicole hit her spot on I can’t even the tone the cadence she speaks its downright perfect.

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

My favorite book in the series!

Wow, how can all of the books in this series be so amazingly profound and well-written. I personally have always had a lot of respect for Native American culture and the way both Ivy and Lorenzo speak is beautiful and poetic. I love them both and Ivy is such a wonderful character you can't help but love her. This book tells the kind of love story that makes you weep at the end and makes you feel like true love really does exist. I'm really pleased with this series so far!

Well read, and very well written

This was pretty amazing. At first I didn't think it would be as the characters never enthralled me before, but in this book you get to learn more about then and the narrator is amazing!

Another great book in this shifter series

Another great story in this shifter series. This story is about Ivy and Lorenzo. If you are following the series you are well aware of these characters. There were hints of these two characters getting together in previous books. I hoped I was right. I was so glad that I was. I loved Ivy because she was a such a strong woman and so wise. But really I had no idea how truly strong she was. I loved Lorenzo since book one. His alpha male caring heart was so swoon worthy. I was glad he didn't end up with Lexie but I wanted him to have his own happiness. Don't go thinking this is some easy romance. There was so much resistance and push and pull in this story. My heart broke for the life that Ivy lived. She also made me want to pull my hair out. While she thought she was protecting people she was the sacrifice she didn't need to be. There is an evil man in this story and the whole time I just wanted justice. Lorenzo was the strong man that Ivy needed. My heart connected with them so much. I loved it! I read some reviews that this book was too slow. I have no clue what those people are talking about. This book was perfect. And Nicole Poole did a great job on these characters. She is truly a talented narrator. I suggest this book. It can be read as a standalone. But I suggest reading the other books in the series first. You'll be as connected and addicted as I am.

Great performance!

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed listening to this book. Finally, a story about the quiet woman, Miss Ivy. We finally learn why Ivy's father traded her off quickly and her deeply held secret. I wasn't surprised who her mate turned out to be....there was enough foreshadowing in books 2 & 3 to aid the reader in a strong hypothetical guess.

Not bad but slow

I wasn't really interested in Lorenzo's character, but I wanted to know what happened to Ivy. I wasn't quite as engaged in this story as I was the first 3 books. Lorenzo finally started to grow on me towards the end. Normally I love Nicole poole's narration, but this one was a little slow and drawn out for me. So I sped up the narration speed a click which did the trick.

Couldn't like protagonists

I didn't like Ivy in the last book and never warmed up to her in this one. Same with Lorenzo.

Ivy was "traded" to the Weston pack for a favor. You just know there is a story there. This book tells that story. I listened to this book for news of the rest of the pack which I love. But main characters I could have skipped. Dannika Dark is good. Also I was intrigued with the trip to Cognito. The city setting for her Crossbread series. I will listen to next book. Hopefully, it won't feature arrogant, narcissistic, manwhore or wimpy personality-less, people pleaser.
