Publisher's summary

"Time changes everyone."

Everything has changed. Buildings, the landscape, the country, the people, life. Mya remembers the past - some of it - and believes the future is too hard. It's been years and she is still alone, lost in memories, her heart aching for her love. Her Highlander. Kayden.

She travels to Scotland and as she passes through, more memories return. The stag. Her friends. The war. Her prince.

Unsure if she can find the pieces of the puzzle of her life again, she returns to a place where all her memories seem to focus on. The crashing waves, the rolling hills...and Kayden.

Will Mya and Kayden find a way through the loophole of time? Will they remember enough of the past...and control their future?

"Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters."

Series Concludes

This is #5 in a 5 book series. In each of the previous books a woman awakes naked and with no memory of her life. The setting in books 1 to 4 vary from 1400 to 20th century. But in each of those books, the big questions about the stories were NOT resolved in this story. For that, you need to do get to this book

In this book, the woman with no memory returns to Scotland to search for the white buck and the love of her life.

If Gabaldon=100, this book is a solid 85. Less sex than in book 1.

The narrator is very professional, but my enjoyment would have been enhanced with a setting authentic accent, rather than a harsh American read.

Decide for yourself before paying attention to the Reviews

I listened to all 5 books and only one slip of Mia instead of Mya in book 4, the narrator understood her weakness for accents and adjusted accordingly as the books went on and it didn’t sway from the telling of the story. I loved how the last book puts the stress and history of the relationship on him!

Satisfying Ending

Wasn't sure what direction the book was going to go in and was a little anxious when I first started it (I got pretty invested with this couple!), but the book ended the series well.

Narrator

The idea of the series seems to be quite good. I wanted to try the fifth book but I just couldn’t get past the first book with Stacy reading it.

Redo the series read by a SCOTTISH woman and release it as “NEW AND IMPROVED”.

I’m sorry Stacy but you shouldn’t have ventured into this one.

Stumble

I stumbled on this series and after the first one was left confused. I listened to the first two and skipped to the fifth book. I fear I just couldn’t endure the others. It should have been one book.

not a fan

the author could gave condensed 5 books to 1 and not wasted any story line. so repetitive I skipped thru the chapters and didn't miss a thing. really not sure if a different narrator would of helped.. didn't like her either didn't sound like she got excited about the books either
