Life is amazing and unparalleled in its ability to take everything away from you when you're not on the right path. This is the struggle that Amelie Rose finds herself in after her parent's sudden and tragic death. At the lowest point in her life, a fireman by the name of Parker Moore rescues her in more ways than one in this romantic story about how there is light and hope even in the deepest and darkest moments of life.

This was a sweet romance, brought together by a tragedy...and resulted in a very nice HEA!!! Short and sweet little story...and well worth this quick little listen!!! The narration is fine...but this is not my fave of KH's narrators....she did fit this story though!! :)

What did you like best about Flames of Passion? What did you like least?
I really like the narration. I am not an Audible fan per se but this narration was pretty good. The story wasn't believable to me. It was predictable and I didn't believe how quickly they fell in love and moved to proposal. I know it's a short story but woah. I didn't buy it. I would think Amelie would be too consumed with grief to even contemplate a romance. Also at one point I could have sworn Parker was referred to as Peter.
Would you be willing to try another book from Kathleen Hope? Why or why not?
I would be willing to read a full length novel just to gauge if the writer's style is my preference.
Which character – as performed by Jodi Hockinson – was your favorite?
Hard to say but probably Parker.
Did Flames of Passion inspire you to do anything?
Nope! I wish I could say yes, not to judge a book by its cover but no. Not really.
Any additional comments?
I appreciate the free audible in exchange for an unbiased review.

You know when a book just doesn't connect with you, this was that book for me.
I wanted to like it, but Amelie just wasn't for me. I know it’s a short and the story has to move forward fast but this was too fast. I can see where the author was trying make the connection for the 2 characters but for me it just fell flat.
I wasn't a big fan of the narration either.
