Audiobook hangover alert!

Wow... this one blew me away!

This was not like my usual contemporary romance fare. It was twisted and dark and there are parts to this story that I'm sure some people just won't like, but I loved it! And a bonus for me was that the narration was on point!

The story is complex and twisted and I loved how the author shared the background to the story in little pieces, each turning the story in a new direction

Emily, the reformed party girl, is searching for her old friend Amber and this brings her on a collision course with the sexy Reeve Sallis. Their interactions are erotica and dark

It does end in a cliffhanger, and I could see it coming, but in the end I welcomed it! I can't wait for the conclusion to this series and it will definitely be one that I will re-listen to again and again in the future

Intriguing

You definitely want to listen to this one. I usually only listen when I working but this one I could NOT turn it off. I had to know what was happening and what was next. I listened every chance I had, the narrator nailed too. She's giving u her story and u want only good to come of the bad and heartbreak she has been through.

First Touch is a dark spellbinding, suspenseful, shocking, intense novel. I just discovered another side to Laurelin Paige's writing. Was on edge and hooked until the last page. I need the next book!

Good Read

I love this book. It's dark and dirty. It keeps you hanging on, dying to know what happens next.

You get to the end and you're like oh shizz. No freaking way and I'm guaranteeing you will download the next book immediately. It's that good.

Disturbing

I hated this story because of how the writer portrays the female character, Emily has no self esteem whatsoever. She was so fucked up. At times I wanted to stop reading, but was hoping that the writer would redeem her principal character, Emily, yet it never happened. It was though an interesting ending, and my curiosity picked my interest

Fantastic book, will keep you guessing. So many twists and turns. Definitely a must read!

Why did I wait so long to listen to this story?!

Emily is looking for her missing best friend and will do anything to find her. She uses deception to get close to the person she believes had something to do with it. Reeve is the powerful and dangerous rich guy that allows Emily to get close tohim. They end up having real attraction for one another. They don’t see the plot twist coming.

This is a duet and you need to read/listen to both to finish the story. There is a HEA with a sweet ending.

AN ALL CONSUMING PLOT WITH A DREADED CLIFFHANGER

This is why Laurelin Page is an auto download for me.... she's delivered a story that hooked me right in from the start, filled it with intrigue, secrets, hot sex, passion, mystery, the Greek Mafia and suspense and her characters have depth and detail. In the past Emily, and her best friend Amber, used rich men shamelessly exchanging sex for money, gifts and a roof over their heads... it's always been a reciprocal business arrangement. But with one Sugar Daddy things went horrifically wrong between the two best friends and they fell out with each other. And, for 6 years, Emily has heard nothing from her former friend/party girl/addict Amber.... not until the day she played back her messages and heard Amber's voice giving their private coded message that meant she was in big trouble.

Emily slowly pieced together clues and information about Amber's life that led to the handsome Billionaire Hotelier Reeve Sallis and, in order to infiltrate his world and hopefully get answers, Emily had to orchestrate a 'chance meeting' that would lead to her, once again, becoming a rich man's pampered plaything. But Reeve was no pushover.... he was calculating, complicated, controlling and complex, he had Bodyguards, links with the Greek Mafia, was sexually demanding and dominant, oozed danger and secrets and his life was a closed book to Emily.... he said when, how and where - their relationship was strictly on his terms. However, their chemistry and sexual appetites were totally in synch with each other's and so, after a shaky start, their relationship grew deeper and stronger... but Emily still needed to find answers as to exactly what happened to Amber..... and just how much can she trust Reeve?

There's intrigue as Emily and Reeve play a game of cat and mouse, there's graphic hot sex scenes, there's puzzle pieces to fit together and answers to find that will hopefully lead Emily to Amber but, just as love is about to be declared, a shocking CLIFFHANGER will disrupt, devastate and disturb the balance. And, as the plot was slowly revealed... the mystery deepened, became slippery and took a sinister turn. Told from Emily's POV and the narrator was good.

Worth a credit? Yes - it was entertaining, cryptic and hot.
