Rebecca's marriage to Kyle was less than fulfilling. Once their daughter has gone away to college she grows tired of being ignored and feeling unloved. She decides to leave her husband and start a new life in a different city. While moving into her new apartment she meets Neil, an extremely attractive man in his twenties. She wrestles with the attraction because of his age, but gives in to her desires when he shows interest in her. Things become even more complicated when she realizes that they work in the same office. After a little convincing from Neil, a highly charged sexual relationship develops between the two and he introduces her to new experiences that change her life.
Rebecca's marriage to to her husband of twenty years is over, she's in her own apartment and is meeting her new neighbors; one of whom is good looking kid in his mid-twenties named Neil. Though she is attracted to him she can't imagine him having any interest in an old lady like her. Even if he does she can't date a man who's barely older than her daughter; Can she? She can't have her first threesome with him and his gorgeous young female friend; or go to bed with her alone when he's away; can she?
Evidently she can, because she does. This is a nice story of a woman's first relationship after a divorce and the pressures that tear the relationship apart. A very nice story, well written and well nuanced. The audiobook would have received a higher rating with a better narrator I'm looking forward to the next audiobook by Miss Silver.
