Publisher's summary

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author.

When accountant Ben Weaver awakens after an erotic dream, he encounters a wife who is unwilling, uninterested, and who once again has a headache. The unworldly but focused Ben decides he will do anything to rekindle his sex life, including imitating the erotic techniques of billionaire Christian Grey from the Fifty Shades series. Unable to withstand the pent-up ache radiating from his tender blue testicles, Ben decides to take Grey's methods to a whole new level in order to relieve the pressure on his... er, marriage.

Shocked by her husband's unusual plan, Kate Weaver hesitates in giving him what he desires. But for all his trappings of non-success - his ordinary accounting job where coworkers steal his sandwiches and brag about their sex lives, his lack of wealth, his inability to seduce his own wife - Ben is a man with one saving talent: the driving determination to reignite his sex life no matter what it takes. When the couple embarks on a daring and dangerous physical adventure, Kate discovers her husband's fanatical zeal to explore all of Christian Grey's darkest desires, with calamitous results.

Erotic, hilarious, and highly disturbing, Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey is a spin-off that will titillate you, amuse you, and stay with you until the next erotic romance crosses your Kindle.

Hilarious!

If you could sum up Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey in three words, what would they be?

Makes you laugh.

What did you like best about this story?

I've read Fifty Shades of Grey which is why this story was so dang funny! The MC's bumbling attempts to become the next Christian Grey were hysterically funny. I loved every minute of this book!

What about Gillian Vance’s performance did you like?

She is one of the best narrators I've listened to in a long time.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, definitely!

Engages you throughout emotionally.

Really well written, the story allows you to feel or empathize with it's characters and their challenges throughout! I was on the edge of my seat in the helicopter, elevator ride and stop at Tiffany's hilarious. Well done!

I just need love!

If you could sum up Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey in three words, what would they be?

Insightful, sympathetic, funny

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey?

The helicopter ride with the ex-Vietnam veteran on Ben's last attempt to romance his wife

Which character – as performed by Gillian Vance – was your favorite?

Ben Weaver, the main character, was very funny, and the writing was superb. It was a little odd to have a woman narrate a man's story, but, that being said, it was well-done. I'm new to audiobooks so maybe this is a common thing.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Desperately seeking love at all costs

Any additional comments?

A well-written story which appears to truly convey the inner workings of a man's mind when he's in love and wants to stay in love.

SO FUNNY! Well written.

Any additional comments?

I LOVED this book. So hilarious! It's about a middle-aged man who tries to become Christian Grey to get his wife interested in sex again. Of course, nothing goes according to plan, with hilarious results. Best of all is the enduring love between Ben and his wife. Very sweet. A highly enjoyable, well-written story with a unique premise and lots of humor. Highly recommended. Fifty Shades for the real world!

Great Satire on Fifty Shades of Grey!

Where does Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love all of Riley Ford's books, and this short story was no exception. It's top quality and was a hilarious adventure.

What did you like best about this story?

The characters! I mean, poor Ben, he was really just a mess. Being Dominant is SO not his calling. I enjoyed the playful approach to the story and how it made a satire out of people who think BDSM is just something you DO. Nope, it's who you are, and Ben is NOT the guy for this role. Which is what makes it so damn hilarious!

Have you listened to any of Gillian Vance’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I haven't listened to Gillian Vance outside of the books she has done for Riley, but she does a good job.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

YES! This book made me laugh TONS! OMG, I was really mortified for this poor couple on more than one occasion. I'm SO glad I wasn't in their shoes!

Any additional comments?

Riley really knows how to make a gal laugh <3

Hilarious

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would definitely recommend this book, especially if you are in the 'older' age group. It is funny because it proves that life doesn't follow the lives in books, no matter how hard you try to emulate the same situations.

Not funny...

What would have made Fifty Shades of Fifty Shades of Grey better?

I found it to be corny, not humorous at all. Perhaps I am not the right audience for this story.
