Publisher's summary

At 11 he was my first crush. At 16 he became mine. At 19 he broke my heart and destroyed me. That was 10 years ago and the last time I saw Cole Ryan. They say you never get over your first love...I beg to differ. I left my shattered heart buried in a town I never expected to return to. I erased every thought of him and buried the memories never to be found. I moved on...now, 10 years later, I have the perfect life, the perfect fiancé, the perfect career. Everything I ever wanted until I'm forced to go back and face my past and the man that destroyed me. He won't stop until I know the truth no matter how hard I fight it. In the end, lies will be uncovered, hearts will be broken, and my life as I've come to know it, destroyed.

I REALLY LIKED IT BUT COULD HAVE LOVED IT

I loved this book from the beginning and the narration was excellent. I hoped the coupling would have been more detailed but I got the point. 🙄😒🙄😒My only complaint is that I thought the story would go in a different direction and was disappointed that it didn’t. It would have been so awesome if that one detail could been tweaked. Good Sunday Listen

The sweetest!!!

I loved this book so much. The lies, the heartache, the loss. It was so much. see what happens when you don't just tell truths. I absolutely loved it though. It made my heart full.

Teddy Hamilton did amazing as usual! This was the first time I had heard Lucy Rivers narration. She did a wonderful job as well.

I loved this book! Worth a download for certain!

OK - for relevance, I am a fan of Sylvia Day, Jennifer Probst, Kristen Proby, Lauren Blakely, Corinne Michaels, and Meredith Wild, to name a few. Somehow, I had missed this author, but it was suggested to me by Audible, and looked interesting, so I bought it.
It was very well written, hooked me fast and I sure loved the characters.
It was paced nicely and the characters has enough snark and passion to keep me wanting to hear more! I really liked the way Cole put her first, continually, but also found it hard to believe a guy in his early 20's would do that.
Now, for the truth? slight Spoiler alert, but not really.
The author totally blew it. I felt strongly that she may have been somehow talked into Frankie's "secret" not being what we were expecting, even though she set it up so clearly along the way. I gotta say, that would have been expected and surely better than what we got. I'm just sayin'...
I did like how he came after her at the end, although making it about him being there in LA "for a client meeting" was kinda lame. As deeply and strongly as he felt, he should have been there even with no client calling for him to see their car. I'm just saying, this was a very committed guy...
I liked that thee sex was not outrageous and constant, we got to see some sweet romance and personalities merge as opposed to constant sexual activity. Rebecca writes a good character! I could tell she liked these two a lot. Actually, the fleshed out the side characters well also!
Now, to find something else by her... and add to my library! :)

Big Fat Secret keeps the suspense going

I thought the story line the author created was great, but it pains me to have a secret drawn out so long. However, this is a second chance book which explains why the secrets were the focus of the book. Most everyone deserves a second chance and maybe by drawing out the secrets both of them had, it keeps your attention and builds the suspense. I kind of figured out Frankies secret before it was revealed. Just couldn't figure out how the author was going to even the playing field when the secrets were revealed. The narrators did a great job with the characters and I enjoyed their presentation of the story.

Emotionally charged and heartfelt

Amazing story and extremely emotionally charged and heartfelt. The narration perfect!

I solved that This had a back story to the fault line as I live in the San Andreas and know all too well about seismic activity.

This story was charater driven and a few twists that I never saw coming.

Highly recommend!!!

Teddy Hamilton is amazing as always and he remains at. The top of the list of narrators. He. Just. Does. It.

Lucy rivers...She is the best of the best !!

I loved this book!!💜

Great storyline and unpredictable!! At least for me. I was expecting it to go in one direction and it totally went another direction.
Great characters and excellent combination of angst, romance and sex.
The narration was absolutely amazing.

Intriguing Love Story

This love story had everything. Couldn't put it down. I love that it wasn't rushed but kept you on the edge the whole time. I am a big fan of Teddy Hamilton's narration. He does an excellent job making me fall in love with him. I wish he could have done all his character parts, it would have made the narration perfect. Loved this story. Definitely recommend.

Great Listen

Overall I liked this book. I liked Frankie. She left town after Cole does the unthinkable and made a life for herself away from her hometown. I hate that she let a man keep her from her family for years but I get it. I liked Cole. I wish his character was a little more fleshed out though. I understand why he did that “thing” but it kind of didn’t make sense to me. For as much as they were in love he could have changed somethings in his life to give Frankie what she wanted. He could have gone with her so I just didn’t understand his logic. I quickly moved to Team Cole when he came clean. I thought his character was refreshing in that he put it all out in the table and really let Frankie decide what she wanted to do. Frankie has secrets of her own though. I know many people didn’t like that part of the story but I get where she was coming from. I kind of guessed it from a little clue in the beginning of the book. I was really rooting for this couple to get it together. Even though I thought Cole’s secret was a little too much I did like how it all played out with Frankie’s secret coming to light. I liked the resolution to this story. I liked the secondary characters in this book too, especially Frankie’s sister Faith and her niece Maggie. Everyone should have a family member that has your back like they had Frankie’s. Overall a good read.

I listened to the audio book narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton. I really need some more Lucy Rivers narrated books in my life because she is the best. I really loved her as Frankie. Teddy Hamilton is becoming a favorite of mine for small town heroes. He has a little something in his voice that just makes him perfect for those characters. I always listen to my audios at normal speed and the pacing of this story was good. I didn’t feel the narrators were speaking too fast or too slow. Both did a good job with the secondary characters in their pov also. 5 stars for the narration and I want more books with these two!
