Great Insight into These Characters

What did you love best about Falling Slowly (Hostage Negotiation Team #1.5)?

I love the story of Clair and Rafe, how they continue to fall in love and recognize their mutual need for one another.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Falling Slowly (Hostage Negotiation Team #1.5)?

I loved their banter about the karaoke bet and still want to hear Rafe singing :)

What about Simon Pringle-Wallace’s performance did you like?

His narrative was strong, and I liked the way he did Rafe's voice and the other male characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, but I had to listen while driving to and from work.

Any additional comments?

My only complaint, if I had one, was that Clair's voice came off as passive which didn't match her character description to me. She's a strong, confident woman and she sounded indifferent. Otherwise the read was fabulous!

so romantic

A really sweet and romantic story about the couple falling in love. Rafe and Claire make a great couple. I loved the narrator's voice for Rafe but it was only okay IMO for Claire.

Character defining

A relationship is developing between a hostage negotiator and a soldier who has been sidelined. Her work and his inability to work could define them if they let it. This short story sets all of that into play. Well done by an excellent narrator.

Great book!

It had action and sexy love but very clean romance. I liked listening to the characters. The action made it more appealing. Great book.

Tender love story

I love Julie Coulter Bellon’s writing style, and that she gets you hooked right away. I liked that Falling Slowly focused on Claire and Rafe’s growing relationship. This is a cute follow up story to All Fall Down. Simon Pringle-Wallace did a great job with the narration, and I highly recommend this audiobook!

Rafe and Claire

This was a very short read on what finally happened to Rafe and Claire after their return from their mission. The audiobook was only an hour and 40 minutes.

The narrator does an excellent job and the story is well done.

I requested from the author a free audiobook. My review was voluntary and my opinions were my own.

BETTER TOGETHER

Decision time, Claire’s.Dad and Rafe have retired, what will be the next step, neither is use to being idle. He has declared his love for her, but what does she feel. They have a connection, calming and peace when together is felt by each. When they return she has a career to go back to. For him it was emptiness after being with the Seal’s. Could they have a relationship
The narration by Simon Pringle Wallace is great and added to the enjoyment of this story. Also given an ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.

The whole Hostage Negotiation series by Julie Bellon is excellent. Falling Slowly is a part of that series. The whole series is fast paced, exciting and has a little romance too.

Which character – as performed by Simon Pringle-Wallace – was your favorite?

Rafe, the main character was my absolute favorite.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

For me, the moving part of this book was in the many little moments of care and concern Rafe and Claire had for each other.

Any additional comments?

I had read this book previously to listening to it so the story wasn't new to me but hearing it read was a whole new experience. The narrator did a fantastic job. Sometimes with narrators, it takes me awhile to become accustomed to their style and voice but I was immediately at ease with the narrator and loved listening to him.

a great continuation romance

A great continuation of All Fall Down. This is a perfect short story of more romance for Rafe and Claire's new relationship as it grows and develops. I love how they interact with each other with incredible love and respect. A truly great addition as they still continue to due what needs to be done. wonderfully narrated really drawing you in.

he is my favorite narrator i have listened too. My favorite character would be Rafe he made him sound like the rough solider that you would imagine.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

i didnt want it to end. Julie just draws you in and you dont want it to end.

if you enjoy a good love story with so suspense anything by Julie Coulter Bellon is a winner!
