Publisher's summary

My name is Benjamin Dorsey. You know my mom and dad's story. You know Kylie's parents' story. You even know Kylie's story.

You don't know mine yet.

You don't know what a broken heart is until you've loved someone your whole life only to have her slip through your fingers because you waited too long. That's heartbreak. That's regret. And how do you live with that? How do you go through the motions when she's there as a reminder of what you lost, of what you could have had but were too damn chicken to go after? I couldn't. So I left.

That's right, I ran away. I found myself across the continent, playing minor league football. I mean, at least I still had football, right?

Nope. That got taken away from me too. A career-ending injury left me down and out, scraping the bottom of the barrel, hating myself, and hating life. And then I met Cheyenne Leveaux, my physical therapist, who became my one and only friend, the one bright light in the darkness of my messed up life.

But of course nothing is ever simple or easy.

Tragedy struck, and the rug was swept out from under me yet again. This time the guilt, the doubt, the secrets, and the old heartbreak may threaten my one chance at true happiness, my one shot at my own happily ever after.

Too many songs

Good story. Poor narration. If I had to listen to any more songs being spoken I was going to return it unfinished.

Great Conclusion to This Series!

What did you like best about this story?

Being a fan of Jasinda, and this series I kind of knew going in that my heart would take a beating. And it did. And I loved it.
Having “read” this as an Audible I also loved the added element of surprise. Reason being, when I read I tend to let my eyes wander down the page and read ahead of where I actually am in the story. I liked not being able to do that here because I was able to experience every shock, twist, and moment of heartbreak as it happened. I don’t even know where to begin; Falling Away was FULL of hurt and heartache; feelings of guilt and regret, but best of all: healing. Ben and Echo made my chest hurt! They were both so broken and lost until a sad twist of fate brought them together— even though that “twist” made me cry— I was so happy it happened! I loved seeing them be there for each other when they needed it most, and I loved seeing Ben not give up on Echo when she needed him most. Poor Echo was a bit of a hot mess, but Ben NEVER gave up on her and never let her give up on herself. It makes me smile and my heart beat faster thinking about how he loves her *sigh*. This was such a great conclusion to this series and, while I’m sad it’s over, I’m so glad it’s one that I got to experience.

Somewhat disappointed...

I loved all the other books in this series of Jasinda Wilder but this one....

The first and foremost was the narration. I could not get into the story at all with the male narration, the females was a bit better but not extremely.

But even as for the storyline goes, I saw myself skipping a lot of parts, just not being able to get into it. The main male character was just boring to me, I couldn't find myself pining for him like I normally want to do for the Heroes. Even the same goes for the heroine. I mean, I liked her but not loved her.

All around, for me, the book was just blah...just OK. I hope that Jasinda's further books are much better than this one was. I hope they are way more along the lines as the other books of this series were!

Good luck with this one...

Good Story

Any additional comments?

The only thing I struggled with was Gabriel Vaughns narration in this one when he was reading Echo. Sometimes I wish that Piper could read the girl parts and Gabriel, the guy ones. Not sure how that would sound either, its just that I found myself laughing at times when he was reading echo.

Great to see the story unfold more and more

In Falling Away we are given a chance to see what happened to Ben after he leaves Nashville. Following the characters from book one on is amazing, and the character development through all the books is great. This book does have the mature audience scenes coming in the other books, but goes slightly farther on to exploring some preferences.

I LOVE A GOOD HEA ENDING!!!!!

What made the experience of listening to Falling Away the most enjoyable?

The narration, and the story...Jasinda's writing is always so down to earth and real...it is totally relatable...

What other book might you compare Falling Away to and why?

It's a love story with some very sexy parts...there are many like it....but only one Jasinda!

What about Piper Goodeve and Gabriel Vaughan ’s performance did you like?

I love this duo...they are awesome...very listenable...and they make the story real!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

BOTH! Jasinda can break your heart and make you laugh in one sentence...I love her writing!

Any additional comments?

I was so happy Ben got his story told, and I loved this book! Ben and Echo saved each other, they completed each other, they were meant to be....this whole series has been a pleasure to listen to! I love Jasinda's writing...ever since I discovered the Big Girls Do series...I was hooked! This is a sweet love story, with a few tragic twists...with believable characters and a great HEA...all of the things I expect from a JW book and what always brings me back for more!

I LOVED IT!!! I RECOMMEND THIS SERIES!! I ACTUALLY RECOMMEND ALL OF JASINDA'S BOOKS!!

Well worth your time and a credit!

Falling for Wilder

Wilder brings Bens story to life. I was so excited to see he got a story! Ben is lost and this follows his mixed up journey to an HEA. Narrated in dual perspective, this is another beautiful love story.

Wasn’t as exciting as the other books, but still good.

The narration was ok. Not the best, but I was still able to enjoy the book. The tragedy of Cheyenne happened a little too early in the book and didn’t feel as impactful (although still horrible and I felt really bad for her and for Ben). One other pet peeve of mine is when facts change from one book to another… in Becca and Jason’s book, they name their son “Benjamin Kyle” and in this book, Ben says his name is exactly like Oz’s - Benjamin Oziz (sorry if I spelled that wrong) (both of them being named exactly like his late uncle). That kinda annoyed me. Maybe I’m just nitpicking, but I pay attention to things like that and it just seems a little sloppy.

Overall, I enjoyed the book and will definitely keep reading Jasinda Wilder’s books.

I've listened to this whole series

BUT...this one was just raunchy and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless all they wanted was triple X rated sex. It was just a horrible end to all of the series. Purely unbelievable.
