A Life full of pain..

This story line centers around the lead, Evander.

His life has been very difficult but things look up when he meets Callie.

Overall, a well written book filled with trials, strength, and hope.

Connor Brown did well with the narration.

The Stratham Shifters story continues....

This is a very interesting series. With each subsequent book, it is as though the plot is gaining momentum, like a slowly brewing storm. We are just waiting for all the pieces to line up so the deluge can begin.

This pride of dragons is special. In a paranormal world where dragons are precious about the purity of their bloodlines, these dragons are half breeds. They each have troubled pasts and are highly vulnerable. Add to that they each house their own dragon and that of their mate and the situation gets even more complex. Until they find their fated mate and vessel for the other dragon, they struggle with weakness and ill health.

The overall story line that threads through the series centres on their enemy, the Dragon Council. In each book the council unsuccessfully attempts to disband and eliminate the pride. In the case of Evander, he is a half breed but a stranger to the pride. He is usually kept imprisoned by the council but in this case they have sent him to get rid of the pride. Instead he finds his mate, the potential for his salvation, and family.

The book has a lot going on as the Stratham Shifters saga continues. I do wish there was a little more detail to the story but I can appreciate that this is a quick and easy paranormal audiobook to listen to.

This series just keeps getting better!

The plot thickens the farther this series progresses and keeps getting more interesting. Loved Evander and Callie’s story in this entry. Fantastic narrator too! I received a free review copy of this audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

Still not quite there but improving

Conner although not a bad narrator does need to slow down every now and then. It's almost like he is rushing through parts. Still pretty easy to listen to thou.
I still can't get past the fact that the series sounds vaguely similar to another but when writing mythical stories, there are bound to be many times when things like that happen. However I like Sarah's spin on this one and it takes it from the more hard/intense stories of this style of book and makes it more cute not for the use of a better word. Remove the sex scenes and it remains very much a young adult style book in my honest opinion.
Not really one for cliff hangers, this does have something along those lines but I'm not 100% sure it would make people rush out and buy the next installment.
Once again, not a bad book but not great either. The writing has improved as I now get the feeling that Sarah is settling into these characters which makes for a better flow.

Now the fight with the council is heating up.

I received this book in exchange for an honest unbiased review.

This book is what I would call a filler. It fills in the gaps that are happening with our dragons and the council. We know the council has it so bad for the dragons in Stratham because they are hybrids however we don't really know why aside from the fact that they're all hybrids. Yes in history, most people don't like different but the way that the council is going after these dragons it seems as though it is more personal than anything else.

This book exposes one of the reasons aside from the fact that they are are all hybrids. In book 1 Aris we meet Aris who is the king of the hybrid dragons. We learned that he is on the run with a couple of his adopted family and the reader thinks just like all of the characters it is because they are hybrids that they are being hunted. However in this book we learn that Aris is being hunted because his uncle is not too happy about the hybrid dragons and what it means for his reign.

Evander has been held captive the his entire life and he plays a significant role within the Stratham Dragon Clan. Even though Evander plays a significant part with in the fight between the two factions he just seemed kind of entitled. I do understand that he has been held captive for most of if not his entire life however he could not fathom why Aris and his gang did not trust him. He kept thinking that they are not being nice to me, they hate me, I don't understand why they don't trust me, I didn't do anything when in actuality he was sent there to kill Aris. I just felt like he wanted too much when he refused to tell anybody his story. It was not until Aris find him and explains what the issue is did he feel as though he was finally accepted.

The way that this story ended it did seem as though a little more information needed to be given however I have read all of the books in the series so far and all of these books end the same way. It sets up for the next book and the continuation of the fight between the Stratham dragons and the council.
