Publisher's summary

Andi Thompson's days are numbered. Her cancer is back with a vengeance, and her only hope for survival pumps through the veins of her ex-boyfriend, Esher Wakefield. Back in college, the werewolf saved her with a vial of his blood. But Andi took her good fortune too far, and her actions nearly revealed the Silver Lake wolves for what they really are.

Esher Wakefield is a successful pediatrician and respected member of his wolf pack. The only thing missing in his life is his true mate, Andi. Unfortunately, curing her years ago jeopardized his very existence and forced them apart. When Andi comes to him as her last hope at survival, he knows he must save her. But cancer isn't the only thing that threatens to take away the love of his life.

Love this story

I received this book for an honest review and have to say that this is such a great series. V. Vaughn has such a great talent when it comes to writing. Erin DeWard is one of my favorite narrators. She always put so much emotion into her reading. She makes you feel like you are right there and you get such a visional of what is going on. I truly enjoy her work. To me this book work fine as a standalone.

Andi Thompson truly broke my heart. Her story was very hard to read since I lost a mother this year to Leukemia, but I think also I understood the pain that Esher felt when he found out her Leukemia had returned. The realization that Andi must of felt to know that her days were numbered.

Andi carries a guilt around with her. She needs to learn to forgive herself. See a few years ago her stupid action had put the Silver Lake Wolves in danger. Though she had been forgiven a long time ago by Esher, Andi had not forgiven herself. So when she found out her Leukemia had returned it did not seem fair to ask Esher for his help.

Esher is this handsome werewolf. Him and Andi had been dating when she first had leukemia. The pain Esher had to feel when he realized that the Leukemia had returned to his true mate had to be heart wrenching. Here she was back in his life and he could lose her. Now he is faced with a chose to try to save her or let her die.

That mean old Dr Sand is back. I swear that woman is like a disease that you cannot get rid of. She carries for no one but herself. Trust me when I say she is up to no good.

Andi and someone dear to her finds themselves in danger. Can Esher save them in time?

Don't doubt your HEA

Would you consider the audio edition of Esher: Winter Valley Wolves #7 to be better than the print version?

I have read and listened to both. I enjoy reading, but sometimes it is nice to just have a story time. I either listen in bed or while I play games on the computer, so both serve their purpose.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Esher was so good to her when she felt so guilty. Both were great characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes and I did.

Any additional comments?

Their story was really a flash back to the beginning. I do love revisiting old friends in series to see how they are doing. This book/audio gave me the new story, the complete story and a visit. Wouldn't it be great if we all had access to you know what to cure you know what?

The doctor will see you now . . .

More action, suspense and anticipation than anything in this book. Not my favorite (Although not for those reasons). However, still a decent story.

Andi's been trying to make up for a past mistake

Would you listen to Esher: Winter Valley Wolves #7 again? Why?

I would definitely listen to Esher again, as I loved the story & how it was narrated.

What other book might you compare Esher: Winter Valley Wolves #7 to and why?

I don't like to compare books or audiobooks.

Have you listened to any of Erin deWard’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've listened to Ergan & Brindle from Erin's performance list, it was just as good a listen as the other two where.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The moment Andi realises she's very sick again, but this time she has no way of getting the same miracle treatment as she did back in college....

Any additional comments?

I loved finally learning all the back story for Andi & Esher, although they'd spent alot of time apart over the years, the situation that brings them back together... well it was both wonderful & a tear jerker.
