Publisher's summary

Cade is on the road to recovery with Francesca's love and support guiding him. His life is changing drastically, from attempting to mend the rift between him and his father, to trying to have a normal relationship with his now fiancé. Most of all, Cade must find a way to control his urges so he can be completely released from rehabilitation.

Francesca is building her law firm with the help of those she loves most, but when a close friend reveals her true feelings about Francesca's engagement, it sends her emotions into a tailspin. Through all of this, she is forced to put her feelings on the backburner for everyone else, until the anniversary of Josie's accident rolls around. Francesca must learn to put herself first before she falls apart.

Liked the Ending

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend that they read the first part before this one. It is a quick listen but seemed stilted in places.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked Cade's sponsor. He was nononsense in his approach to helping Cade become the alcoholic who no longer drank alcohol. He also was very funny when he encountered his non girl friend after not seeing her for a while.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

No

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Cade and his Dad finally came to terms with each other.

Any additional comments?

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review through audiobook blast.

just ok

I wanted to love this book, but unfortunately I couldn't. the story was good but wasn't as great as the first book. the performance was awful. he sounded mechanical and monotone. I just couldn't get into it. But it was nice to find out what happens.

Entangled Souls

Any additional comments?

This was a nice conclusion to book 1 in the series. It gave a nice overview of life after rehab. I really enjoy the characters, and cant wait to start the next book in this series.

My Wish Was Granted, A Series!

This is a continuation of Mangled Heart. The Scarred Heats series by Felicia Tatum. I do not recommend reading this one unless you have read the first book. This review may contain spoilers as it is the second book in the series (1.5)

Francesca and Cade marvel in their engagement. The majority of Entangled is the two of them facing different demons; Cade's alcoholism/recovery and Francesca with her personal insecurities and professional ones, as she begins to build a law practice on her own.

As stated, I think the main focus is on Cade and his rehabilitation. It seems that he has a full-time sponsor, and by full-time I mean all the time! Cade moved in with him and he is only allowed to go to AA meetings alone. The rest of the time the sponsor controls his life. This seemed to be a bit odd, for a grown man to have the equivalent of a nanny telling him who he could see and when he could see them. However, I have not had personal experience with alcoholism and/or rehabilitation.

In this novella relationships are strained, not only between Francesca and Cade, but between the two of them and Cade's father. Francesca & Francesca's best friend. Will they be mended? Or continued to be restrained?

When I listen to the first book, in my review I commented that I hoped it was the beginning of the series. Felicia made my hopes come true with this novella. It is probably not a book to read or listen to as a standalone alone. But it is a good bridge from Book one to the second full-length book – which is finally available on audio at audible.com. I can't wait to hear it.

The narrator is fantastic, the author wrote the book so that each chapter is announced either Francesca or Cade, so you know from whose perspective you're listening. I really enjoyed the performance was above solid, very good. A great match for the stories.

Notes: Descriptions of sex and a few curses. Pretty mild compared to many of the books today, but if you like your books to be PG, I would rate this one rated R.

Thank you for reading my review. *I received this book in exchange for sharing my thoughts, opinions and writing this review. I hope it was helpful in making your decision whether or not to purchase this book/series. If you found it helpful, would you take a moment and select yes directly under this text? Thank you.

Also, I encourage you to "follow me" on audible.com for my reviews. Most of which are contemporary romance, historical romance and REAL espionage. But, as a reviewer I am asked to and do review many books outside these genres. I hope you'll check them out.

I tried Again but This Series is not for Me

This story was dreadfully slow yet again, too drawn out as the characters ruminated on the past. Too much time is spent inside the characters head rather than moving the story forward. The characters also seemed immature and childish. Perhaps if the writing had been better -it reads more like a first draft- it would've been more enjoyable. Then again, there was the narration that just didn't work for me either. Though different from the first book, it still wasn't good.
