Publisher's summary

Eden Black walks among humans, protecting them from the murderous evil of other-worlders who abduct and enslave. And though she appears to be human herself, Eden is an alien, a Raka, distinguished by her golden hair and skin, and gifted with the ominous ability to kill without remorse - and with total accuracy. That is, until the fateful night she has one shot to eliminate her target, a human slaver - and misses.

"Failure" is not in Eden's vocabulary. Neither is "partner" - but that's what she is forcibly assigned after recovering from her disastrous mission. A sexy, steely-nerved human agent, Lucius Adaire enjoys nothing more than sparking the fury - and rousing the desire - of the fiery female assassin too proud to admit defeat. Locked in an assignment they cannot afford to lose, Lucius and Eden find themselves bound in two high-stakes, heart-pounding games: the sensual web of kill or be killed, and the erotic dance of seduction.

Good story, bad narrator

I love all of Gena Showalter books. However, I wish they would do different people for the voices. it takes away from the story when a woman tries to do a male voice. it just sounds odd. just my opinion though.

I WAS ENSLAVED BY THIS AWESOME LISTEN

As I became a willing captive in Gena Showalter's imaginative paranormal web I heard myself saying "oh, just one more chapter" over and over again until it's dramatic climatic end because only then could I think about sleep.

When Eden (a beautiful alien Assassin) fails her Mission luscious Lucius (a sexy, hard-ass, alpha human) is assigned as her Partner to finish the job but when they meet there's instant attraction and sizzling sexual chemistry. As they start to work together all the fun, action and very witty banter comes out because they are both strong, independent, competitive characters...... and they can't keep their hands off each other.

Together they go undercover to smash a human slave ring but there's surprises, suspense, twists, action, danger, revelation, a passionate sexy romance and unlikely friends and evil enemies awaiting them. This enjoyable, thoroughly detailed futuristic world is inhabited and shared by both other-worldly beings and humans but not every species get along as greed is, unfortunately, Universal.

Worth a credit? Great characters, an action-packed drama with plenty of unexpected moves and a tender, touching powerful sexy romance between two likeable characters - errr what's not to like - YES it's definitely creditworthy.

Too much

Getting to be too much of the feminism. Otherwise not bad...enjoy the story line.

REVIEW:
Eden Black is a trained killer who always gets her prey. Unfortunately always is not true now. Her latest target slipped away and Eden was gravely hurt. Now Micheal (her father and boss) has teamed her up with a human. The last thing in the world that Eden wants is a partner. But there is something about Agent Lucius Adaire that draws Eden. Something that may just get them both killed.
Lucius is a hired killer who is willing to do anything for the right price. So when the chance to work with the lovely Eden Black comes up he jumps at the chance. But quickly he finds himself bested again and again by the sweet looking Raka, who is anything but sweet.

I really enjoyed Enslave Me Sweetly. I loved the tension between Eden and Lucius. I loved Agent Luke and how Eden used that to her advantage. My only real issue with this story was how quickly Eden was able to employ the help of the Targon King. Okay employ might be a to gentle word for blackmail and the threat of cutting off male body parts. But all in all I enjoyed this book.

I listened to Enslave Me Sweetly on audio and had the amazingly talented Justine Eyre . Justine does a great job of bring these characters to life for me. If you are a fan of Justine & Gena Showalter you should check out this series :)

Ensnare me then keep me

Love Gena Showalter, not much for her"alien"books but this one was pretty good.Justine Eyre was a pretty good narrator, sexy female voice but unfortunately while she was narrating any male voice, they all sounded whiney and the same which was hard focusing the character as a power alpha male.I did enjoy the story and will try another one of her"alien"books.

A great thriller start to finish! Eyre perfect!

The original book was a splendid, fun, suspenseful read with an amazing female lead. This was even better as audio!
Justine Eyre is perfect voice for the exotic deadly Eden. This is BC Showalter (before she got born again), so its fun, exciting and passionate, without being too lora leigh. This is a loosely related book to the alien huntress series which is fun, delightful with wickedly deadly femme fatales and fun mockery of various stereotypes. Lucius is the link with the series if I remember correctly, but you definitely won't miss anything by treating yourself to this first. A key character for other books later in the series makes an entrance in this book and it is such a testimony to Showalter's originality and skill that she can make a guy who "collects" women at slave auctions on other planets turn out to be such a charmer here and hero later on!
Get the paper backs of the series until more come out on audio. I rate them up there with the night huntress series and Lora Adrians Breed series. Only a little lighter and more fun :)
happy reading all!
