Publisher's Summary

Simeon Boudreaux, the New York Barons' golden-armed quarterback, is blessed with irresistible New Orleans charm and a face to melt your mama's heart. He's universally adored by fans and the media. Coming out as gay in solidarity with his teammate hasn't harmed his reputation in the least - except for some social media taunting from rival linebacker Adrián Bravo.

Though they were once teammates, Adrián views Simeon as a traitor and the number-one name on the New Jersey Predators' shit list. When animosity between the two NFL players reaches a boiling point on the field, culminating in a dirty fistfight, they're both benched for six games and sentenced to joint community service teaching sullen Brooklyn teens how to play ball.

At first, they can barely stand to be in the same room, but running the camp forces them to shape up. With no choice but to work together, Simeon realizes Adrián is more than his alpha-jerk persona, and Adrián begins to question why he's always had such strong feelings for the gorgeous QB....

Drooling

I enjoyed this book so much. This was my first audio book and i have to say it has me hooked. I loved that there was two readers and when ever the story switched points of view so did the narrator. I listened to this book to and from work and when ever i cooked. The book was so well detailed that i swear i was watching a movie. The narrators made it so easy to pay attention. When listening to music or the radio my mind usually places all the sound in the background and my mind drifts. However during this story i was so wrapped in it that not one second was missed.

Worth the listen or read.

Hot hot hot!

Simeon and Adrian were rivals, adversaries, yet hot in the bedroom. I loved their bantor, the way their got into their roles as
mentors and coaches to the kids. Did I say the sex was really hot😃. Really enjoyed this. Enjoyed both narrators as well.

Voices

I enjoyed this book, much like everything else of Hassell's I've read. However, this narration was a disappointment, as was the cover. Simeon is a light-skinned black man, but the cover clearly makes him dark-skinned. I wish they lined up. Also, the narrator did not represent either of the main characters' backgrounds or likely accents.

Yes Please :)

Yes this is a hate to love that I can get behind. Rival football players Simeon and Adrian bash each vocally and on social media constantly to rattle each other up. It all comes to a head when they end up fighting on the field getting them both suspended and doing community service together. Both men go to this camp to teach kids football skills and how to work together. Though they started off rough Simeon and Adrian find there rhythm and found out that they play off each other well with their strengths toward teaching.

When their not teaching there going back and forth with Adrian may not be homophobic, and actually may have feelings for Simeon. While both boys try not to put there foots in there mouth with tweets and interviews. But together they have good chemistry and the humor between them with the stupid jokes made me smile at their goofiness.

The one thing I didn't like is how fast it wrapped up and I have questions not answered. Other than that I can't wait until the next book to see who the next couple is because I don't believe they hinted at it or I just missed it. I guess I'll wait and see

Fun, though unrealistic story, a real fantasy

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would recommend the book to an open-minded friend with some warnings. I enjoyed the book, though it did have a bit too much bad language. It is really a fantasy especially in today's political climate, perhaps it would have been more believable a few years ago. You should not listen to the book in a public place due to the language and explicit sex scenes.

NOT MY FAVE

I was so excited for this book, Illegal Contact was so enjoyable, I am a huge Santino Fan & search for a great sports romance book.... so of course i had huge expectations. To add on I picked up the Audible version right away, that hindered my enjoyment of this book. I liked Simeon in the last book but found his character a bit different in reading this one, and he irritated me. For me I could not get a great grip on either MC, they felt wishy washy to me which is usually the opposite of Santino's writing, typically I find his characters to have such defined personalities and its the chemistry the unique way he writes the clash or push/pull between MC's that I adore. I just didn't get it here.

The audio- I am a huge fan of Alexander Cendese, I think he was perfect for the performance of Gavin, that said he would not have been my choice for Simeon and it threw me. IMO the narration for Adrienne was off so this narration threw me. I love Santino so I will look forward to see how he makes us fall for Rocky
