Publisher's summary

When Bianca and Jakob awake on a sandy shore in the middle of nowhere, their first thoughts are of survival. But as they explore their surroundings and try to discover who stranded them on the island, they can't deny the electricity surging between them. Soon it's more than just a campfire keeping them warm....

But just as Bianca is starting to trust Jakob, she uncovers a clue to their abduction - and finds that he may know more than he's letting on. Was Jakob just as surprised as she to find himself alone with her? Or could the man she's fallen for be her captor?

Contains mature themes.

a lot going on...

Carly Robins narrates JS Coopers book in such a way that she is clearly a good reader, and albeit subtle in changing her voice a bit for characters, there is so much going on I had to relisten to a few places to understand who was saying what in the novel.

Still stranded on the island, Bianca is wound tight and in my opinion a huge whiner that would make me want to start drinking the ocean salt water if Jakob didn't know enough to step back time to time. That being said, Jakob is full of himself, neanderthal comes to mind....flexing his muscles and thinking he can have any girl he wants on an island with one woman who wants to be Nancy Drew while she's complaining and sending condescending comments repeatedly.

Bianca doesn't want to go into the jungle at one point, then Jakob says wait here...then Bianca gets bent out of shape because he won't stay on the beach, but Jakob has to go looking for food....These types of conversations drained me from the book.

Jakob is still constantly prodding Bianca for answers about her life while Jakob gives little in return. There are other characters, Rosie, Bianca's best friend is also self absorbed and doesn't report her missing, while Jakob's half brother, David is someone Bianca dated. Jakob thinks all women are gold diggers - the constant barrage of things happening are sometimes too co-incidental and frustrating to follow.

Jacob and Bianka!!!!!

I need Xanax now and I have never had anxiety!!!!
Disillusioned is going to keep you on edge. It's a roller coaster ride and if you're ready for the adrenaline rush step on but be warned, you will be changed forever. Masterfully written with a gripping and intense plot..Storyline never loses momentum.
J.S. Cooper's writing is intense, mysterious, evocative and sensual. This story will leave you craving for more. When you think you have nailed the mystery it takes an unexpected turn. Who do you trust? Who is behind it all? Who is Jakob?
I am not going to mention any character names, but I knew that bloody witch was evil and had a motive since the first book.
Journey through all the wretched trials, doubt, insecurities and betrayals. Elaborate diversification between the main and secondary characters. A suspenseful romance that takes you into a different world. You have outdone yourself once again J.S. Cooper.
The Swept Away Series are cliff-hangers.

Don't even bother. What a bore.

And I don't like the narrator...she's a bad actress. Yet another inconclusive story...just fast forward to the last bit if you want the interesting part.
