Publisher's summary

The child he didn't know he had...

Andrew Yates has come to a decision: It's time to stop sowing those oats and start a family. But searching for a bride isn't as simple as he'd hoped, and many of the respectable women of his acquaintance feel...lacking. Then beautiful, feisty Wilhelmina "Billie" Wells arrives at the family ranch with a toddler in her arms, claiming Drew is the father!

The woman he didn't know he loved...

Billie had no choice but to show up at Destiny in search of Drew. For the sake of their child, she's willing to leave him with his father so the boy can have a better life, but then, before she can blink, she's saying "I do" in front of a preacher in a marriage of convenience. All Billie and Drew have in common is the heat that brought them together, but can their sizzling passion lead to an everlasting love?

Another sweet historical.

I have been in lone with Beverly's historical romances since I received my first book in 2010 which was Topaz. I love Thomas Penny as the narrator. The only reason he didn't get 5 stars is because he should learn where the accent goes over the Spanish words other than that it would be a five. The story is so touching and no matter her background she wins him over. I read the book and as soon as the audible version came out I listen to it all over again. Can't wait for the third story. Happy reading!!!!!

Billie is Tough!

What does Thomas Penny bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Thomas Penny is a great narrator. I enjoy every book that he narrates. He covers accents well, and he can really bring a story to life.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I really loved the fight scene. Billie was a character that had so much depth, and I am so glad that Ms. BJ decided to tell her story.

Any additional comments?

Andrew and Billie actually reminded me of people I know. Their story was very enjoyable. I liked the interactions between Drew and his son too. There were a lot of good components to this book.

Pretty good

I thought this book was a great edition to the series. I was very pleased with the ending. I normally read everything that Ms. Jenkins writes. This was my first Audible listen so I had to get used to it but once I did I thoroughly enjoyed the ride!

Reminds me of her past wonderful work

I wasn't a huge fan of the first book in this series Destiny's Embrace. I bought this immediately when I saw Thomas Penny as the narrator. Please please Mr Penny keep reading. At any rate this book grabs your attention from the very beginning. I find myself smiling because this book reminds me of her great awesome writing like Topaz, Taming of Jessi Rose which are my all time favorites. Great job. Love it

Best Book Series

A fast moving storyline. The narrator was very good although I missed the Spanish accents from the first book, but still very good. I love the series, can’t wait to listen to the next book, the tales of Noah. I applaud Beverly Jenkins for stories well told.

Destiny

I loved the love story, the suspense thorough out the story, the story was told in a way that held your interest and help you visualize all the places in the story. It left me wanting more.

DREW AND BILLIE ARE THE BEST

This is truly the unconventionally best novel and love affair yet. I've fallen in love with Drew and his dying love for Billie. Yes, their marriage was a reluctant choice, but they know they'd belong together. Beverly Jenkins's novels gets better and better every time. The Destiny series is GREAT. Thomas Penny's narration is excellent as well.

Another Amazing Jenkins Tale

Was not sure I’d like a male narrator for this one but the story is so vivid and breathtaking that it didn’t really matter as I devoured this book in one sitting.

I wasn’t keen on the mispronounced Spanish but it didn’t take too much away from the story. Would have been nice to have a Latinx narrator to make it sound more authentic.
